Heritage armor??
Yes, you can still get this armor. I’m not sure how you can get a boxed copy of GW1, but you should still be able to buy it from the main GW website.
As for reaching the NPCs for heritage armor, once you have your accounts linked, you can just roll a new GW2 character and you’ll get the item that transports you to the HoM area in your inventory. There used to be an NPC that would give you the transport item, but with the whole LA being destroyed, I’m not sure if that’s still possible and if possible, where the NPC is.
Ha, for some reason the first time I clicked the link for the NCSoft store, all it would show me was Wildstar..
Thanks.
There is also a skritt back in the undermarket area that will give you a Hall of Monuments Portal Stone.
Just remember you have to buy Eye of the North as well as the base game for GW1 in order to get access to the HoM to link accounts.

Just buy the complete pack, it’s a fun game and it’s really hard/Grindy to get HoM points just in Proph/EotN.
You need to buy at least one of the three campaigns (Prophecies, Factions or Nightfall) and the expansion Eye of the North, then you need to get a character to level 10 so you can travel from the major city of your campaign (LA, Kaineng Center or Kamadan) to the Eye of the North (of course you need to get a character there first).
Don’t forget to connect your GW1 and 2 accounts, doing so will get you 3 HoM points, then you need to get 3 more as you need 6 to get the full Heritage armor set in GW2. After connecting your accounts new characters will have a portal stone in their inventory in GW2, older characters can talk to that Skritt to get one.
This will help you with getting the remaining 3 points you need to unlock the complete Heritage armor set in GW2:

Ah, and don’t forget that you need the tapestries in your HoM before you can display anything else but titles. You get them by actually playing EotN.

You can get GW1 and all of its expansions on Steam. I got it on sale a couple years ago for 20 bucks. That included Proph, Factions, Nightfall, and EOTN. All of the content in GW1 is still there and still doable. In fact there still a sizable community playing it. I was really surprised, almost shocked, at how many people still play. I joined a Pre-Searing guild that is actually very active with 20+ people online every day.
Getting enough points for the heritage armor should be no problem if you clear all of the campaign missions in normal and hard, get some mini pets, hero armor, and one tormented/oppressor/etc weapon.
This thread makes me want to go play GW, lol!
yeah.. how can you buy it nowadays?
i have no idea…

I recommend getting the trilogy + EotN expansion (you need this to unlock hall of monuments).
You get 3 points just for linking your GW1 account with GW2, that gets you the boots, pants and chest, trilogy comes with M.O.X. (golem hero), which you can dedicate right away (you need to equip other heroes with heroic armor before you can dedicate them), that’s another point with will get you the gloves. Finishing one of the campigns should get you 2 more points, which will get you the rest of the armor (shoulders and head).
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
The official Guild Wars 1 website: http://www.guildwars.com
Options to buy the game are available on that site.
The NCSOFT site seems to be bugged atm.

Have to have Prophecies and EotN – because EotN is off of Prophecies map.
You don’t have to have Prophecies, but you do need one of the Campaigns (Prophecies, Factions, or Nightfall) and Eye of the North.
There’s an npc under the bridge of the Vigil Keep that gives out the portal stones. The karma merchant.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
