I’ve reached level 80 on my engineer and I am now trying to unlock scrapper. Are there any other ways of getting hero points other than doing hero challenges? Any help is appreciated.

You could also get them through WvW.

There are only two ways to gain more hero points:

• Hero Challenges: 1 pt each in core Tyria and 10 pts each in Magus Falls (the new maps).
• WvW: each rank chest drops a handful of tokens. There’s a vendor in WvW spawn areas that will trade those tokens to cap an uncompleted hero challenge. As you would expect, 1 token for core Tyria challenges and 10 tokens for those in Magus Falls.
