Due to the fact it takes too much time and money for Arena net to design new armor sets for each piece and each race and since its much easier for them to design outfits and pop them out with ease, why not make Elite specialization outfit that you can purchase with unused hero points? this will allow us to spend hero points that lay dormant and since there are a lot of players out there that may not have the money to buy outfits off the gem store,this could be a way for people to get outfits that don’t require you to wait for seasonal events to get them (like the mad king this year for the Hexed outfit that did not cost gems) or spend real life money.

I feel there is a opportunity in this we can benefit from. From the progression and to the end of unlocked your elite specialization we get left with 350 hero points, we get an exotic item that is specialized for that profession/class and a set of collection items such as the weapons,why not implement an outfit as well that is suited for that profession/class specialization, that you have to get all hero points in the maps and buy it for 350 hero points,or maybe make it a collection achievement that requires 350 hero points, running all the meta events, and having to do a few minor collections like we had to do for our ascended specialization weapons, this would bring life back into the least played meta events as well give players something else to strive for with a reward of a specialization outfit item.

It did occur to me it’ll also encourage world completion and 100% of HoT map, i feel its a good trade off for how much outfits cost in gems and you benefit in many ways cause someone thats working on a legendary,you have to 100% anyway,i see it as an added bonus and giving a reward that wont take as much time as a legendary does and wont discourage people from not getting 100%, i can see it being a good stepping stone.

And then you find out that you’ll need those HP for the next Elite Spec … I don’t think there are 350 spare HP out there, either, not once you fully unlock the Elite. I could be wrong, but that does seem a large number.

I do like the idea of profession-specific outfits earned through in-game action. I’m just not sure I’d want my HP to go to it.

Even with a next elite specialization chain it could be used as part of an achievement or a contribution to a collection reward, Having to gain up to 350 HP will contribute to that. It will also give reward in between the journey of unlocking our elite specializations I’v noticed there are few HP trains that go on in the HoT maps but they come few and far inbetween, so the reward allow it to peak interest to getting all the HP through out tyria and the HoT maps.

Where are the other 14? are they like the mastery insights?

I feel bad for neglecting the WvW HPs it didn’t cross my mind that we had HP in WvW.

I’m assuming all future elites will require 250 hp each so they won’t go to waste.

Likely, the new maps in the next expansion will offer 25 new Hero Challenges. Well, probably more, actually. Just like this time.

Still, I’d rather save my extras, so I can acquire the new Elite Specialization, because there are plenty of Hero Challenges in HoT my characters have not completed.

If they were going to do anything like that I’d rather they used spirit shards instead. I have thousands of those.

I have a feeling that the next big expansion will include new Elite Specilizations and that you will be happy to have saved your additional Hero Points once it’s being released.
