Hello again Anet,

I spent a lot of Fractal Tokens in Dessa’s Experiment Journal & saved many Scroll of knowledge for unlocking skills and traits and making Mystic Forge recipes. What happens to them when the Hero Points system releases? Should I spend them right now?

From what i understand all Scrolls of Knowledge will be converted to the new Mystic Forge currency or other from of crafting material. The skill points unlocked from levelling and skill challenges will be converted to hero points which contribute to unlocking skills and traits (so I’m assuming old characters with full skills and trait unlocks will just keep the unlocks).

My questions is, what about freshl lvl 80 character that spend levelling and skill challenge skill points on MF instead of skills ^^? Will they end up getting any hero points at all? I smell profit (or sadness if my new ranger ends up with 0 hero points and 0 skills/traits)

I, and many of my guild mates, have been storing Tomes of Knowledge in expectation of spending them on our sparkly new revenants to rush them to level 80. If Tomes go “poof” when HoT comes out, are we wasting our time?

Apologies, i meant Scroll of knowledge, I’m assuming Tomes will work as before although i have no idea what will happend when you use them on a lvl 80 character. I’m also storing them for leveling a revenant. Edited original post

Don’t thinks its tomes of knowledge being converted those reward experiance. Its scrolls of knowledge that rewards skill points.

This is not about Tombs of Knowledge. This is about skill points and, to an extent the Scroll of Knowledge that GRANTS a skill point.

I too have a few alts with skill points that I could possibly use to buy certain ascended things and I’d like to know if it’s best to buy it now or…. save them and what?
