does every racial personal story reward me with a mastery point?

I already finished human norn and sylvari stories (up to lvl 25-30 i think, till the point where you join a order) so the asura and charr ones are open. But they dont have a red mastery star icon on them?

however the wiki says all of them grant a mastery point…

so do all of them grant a mastery point ? 3 per race for a total of 15?
or is there a limit of some sort where one can get only a few, so you dont need to make 5 different characters?

No. It is one point per chapter. Completing the personal story on a single character will get you all the points available through the personal story.

I think the Wiki should say that any of them will grant a mastery point.

Meaning you don’t have to do the story on a specific race to get it, but you also won’t get 5 for doing it on all the races.

so just finishing the entire zhaitan personal story will grant me all mastery points , and making a new character of a different race (asura and charr in my case) and finishing its racial storyline will not as i already got them from the others?

Yes, there is a total of 8 Mastery Points (1 point per Level arc) achievable from the Personal Story, and 8 only.

The story is different depending on your race, and the choices you made at character creation (e.g. what your asurans first invention was or what your humans greatest regret was).

The only thing that’s shared is the Mastery Points. Doing any level 10 story arc will get you 1 Mastery Point. If you then do the level 10 story on a character of a different race you’ll get a completely different story, but no Mastery Point.

(Basically because Anet wanted players to be able to play the story on any race they chose to get their mastery points, but also wanted us to only have to do it once. That and otherwise the story would give a huge amount of mastery points for the effort involved.)
