Heroes like gw1 in a future expansion?
In the open-world? Nope.
Maybe for dungeons, but even then, given there’s more emphasis on mobility, I’d say they’d be more of a hindrance.
Time is a river.
The door is ajar.
Guild Wars was not designed to be soloed, so no it doesn’t fit. The heroes were meant to fill needed party slots so the player wasn’t forced to perpetually seek a party. Since Guild Wars 2 is more traditional, it can easily be soloed for a large chunk of its content.
In a way they have heroes like npc in that they will help you in events even in stores some more so then others TA melee ranger lol. You must take GW2 from the point of view that it is an mmorpg where GW1 was more of an coop single player game. In an mmorpg you should be playing with other players most of the time and the way GW2 is set up you are always playing with more then your self because you do not need to be in the same pt to hit the same mob etc…
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA
If you can sell it in the Gem store, it fits.
So yeah, I guess.
But be prepared for a larg opposition arguing against solo dungeon play, because it removes dependency on other players and therefore the required social interaction in dungeon play, as minimal as that might be.
Not taking sides, just laying down arguments.
Mercenary Heroes were cool, though.

If they are like Guild Wars 1’s heroes then Gods help us all when it comes to the warrior….. "NO GET YOUR KITTEN BUTT BACK…. Dead "

Good one.
Just liked the idea of microing and they already have npc’s that somewhat do this.
i think if done right they may make lots of monies from gem store sales.
u have no idea the amount of people who would prefer full AI team mates over real ones for dungeon runs.
p/s: i am not one of them. i run dungeon with full guild members team.
