Hey there,
i just received a random heroic chest via mail..
i didn’t buy a heroic edition nor a deluxe one.
i didn’t have my account reinstated.

i don’t know why. did i do something? account birthday? something?
i’m officially confused now..

also, the search in this forum isn’t working.

Someone might have gifted you it. Hapy burfday?

Ask the sender if it wasn’t a mistake, if it is send it back.
Sometimes people misclick and send a mail to the wrong person.

Likewise. I got both a mail with 2x heroic chest as well as a mail with a 4k influence thing. Both are official Anet-mails.

Not complaining, just curious what this is about.

official arenanet mail though, with the red logo and so on..

I also recieved the mail with the chest. Two guildmates got it too and according to mapchat, quite a few people got the mail.

Then send a bug report, if anything, graz on the free stuff

Maybe they’re rewarding people who farmed a beta key, that seems to be a common thing among the people in my guild. Will be some fun forum threads if it were true ;D

One of my friends who got one still doesn’t have the deluxe upgrade, so that’s not it :p

I wondered if it might be a birthday gift, since today actually is my birthday. I wish I could gift that armor to a friend, as I already have all three sets. Still happy to receive the gift though!

Pretty sure Heroic Chests are Account bound, so not sure how another player would mail it….

From what I’m hearing, it’s all of us that were in the beta stress test not too long ago. I don’t know why we are getting it though…

Yeah, I got two Heroic Chests. Let me complete my set of GW1 armors. I had already bought the Profane set.

I was in the Stress Test, so there’s one more data point for you.

I was also in the beta stress. Hopefully a dev can read the forums today and clear up the confusion

Its not gems , I just bought gems last week. Or maybe I just didnt buy enough? – lol

I got a chest, and also noticed my beta character is gone when i logged into the character screen. Unfortunately i have all the 3 of the armor skins offered in the chest.

Neither my husband or myself got them, and neither of us were in that first HOT beta. So, more data leaning towards first beta rewards.

Perhaps its cause we did the gw1 10th anniversary quests? I did, did anyone else do them and get the chest?

It’s weird how people are reporting a different amount of chests/different boosters as well. Has to be more than one factor involved.

Yes, i was in the stress test. My beta character is gone now though. I also got a chest.

No evidence to prove validity, but when I asked someone in LA about that, they stated they had received a chest but were not involved in the beta.

Just out of curiosity how many of you that have got the mail are guild leaders or officers .. perhaps in small guilds. As the mail that comes with the Letter of influence seems to suggest maybe joining forces.. ooooh Alliances – -> can it be Anet

Well, darn… I won’t be able to check for another 2 1/2 hours…
but I wasn’t in the stress test.

I got only 1 heroic chest, it contains 10 Xp boosters, a 18 slot mithril box, and the 3 legacy armors, and im the leader of my guild. No influence booster.

Is it that you weren’t in the stress test because you weren’t chosen and didn’t have the beta slot before? Or just that you didn’t participate?

What is known for sure so far, is that we got a heroic chest, and had the beta slot removed.

Guild leader of one guild and an officer in another.. also had access to the first HoT beta (though I didn’t get to play due to pc issues). I wonder…

Would love some kind of official word though on whether or not it’s okay to use these items. Would hate to have this be an error and such. :l

Edit; I received 2 Heroic Chests and the Tome of Influence.

No invite to the first beta test, 27+ hours spent grinding this 2nd beta key so far with no luck, and no hero chest today…

Also received one of those. As my beta character was removed at the same (and have not got a portal for the next beta) i thought it was come kind of “thanks” for participating on the last stress test, so i opened right away. Now i’m starting to wonder if that was the real intention or if it was a mistake/bug.

Considering some got multiples, others a tome of influence and a chest… Don’t really know. Anet should be saying something about it soon.

Have been thinking for a bit now that it may be unintentional the same way some get a heroic chest after being unbanned, related to them removing the beta char slots.
