Guild Wars 2

Well I brought the heroic edition of Guild Wars 2 and when I opened the the email and received the items I opened the chest and had no idea which armour I need for my guardian (heavy armour only), it didn’t say what armour was heavy, medium or light so I chose the Krytan one and obviously I couldn’t use that one because it was medium armour.
so my question is either; do I get a new heroic chest every time I start a new character?
or is there any way of changing it? I payed an extra £10 for the heroic edition and the only thing I was looking forward to,I feel it was cheated from me without giving me item info..
and help/ advice?

There is no way to get another chest, but you can try contacting customer support to see if they’ll remove the Krytan armor from your account and let you select Primeval instead. I’ve not heard of anyone attempting this, but it’s your only possible option outside of just paying for the set with gems.

I’m sure as a new customer Anet will exchange the armor, but you don’t get infinite use on it. You can use transmutation charges to keep the skin, but I wouldn’t use it, if you plan to keep it till you’re 80.

You will get some free transmuation charges by playing the game.

Ok I emailed the support team, hopefully they can do something I’m quite annoyed my extra money has gone to waste.. and yea I planed on using transmutation on them unless I found better, I have no idea on how to use them but that’s the fun in playing something new… learning how to play…. thanks everyone you’ve been alot of help, I’ll post the outcome!
