I want to make this page as an : pls Anet here are some of our things that kittenes us ! / Can you make a patch to change this /that ?

Some small Rules :
1) Dont make a huge “Christmas list” of things that you dont like or you want to put in the game !

2)Dont start to insult the developers for this or that!

3)Keep a good and mature mentality with awesome suggestions that Anet can follow upon and actually implement!

Thank you for reading and join me, to help the developing team make GW2 better and much more fun !!

Ill start the topic 1st and here are my 2 suggestions (use these as a pattern / example) :

-> 1st thing that kittenes me is when i use a shield and im out of combat (ooc) , while the shield is on my back, the backpack no longer appears. I worked hard to get Ad Infinitum and i cant see it …….. :/ (i suggest a patch to make the backpack seer through shields )

->2nd I know that Anet said that making new quests for items is hard; but why only the guys raiding are getting legendary armor ? (it is too hard to get good 10 people to finish the raids fast) , what about people that are not raiding and dont like raids , they cant get the preq for the Envoy armor. ( i suggest a new raiding scale of 5 people but make the quest harder , or a new set of quests to get the same Envoy preq )

I agree with the backpack. There are many back peice that are viable to show through with a sheild. Though there are some back peices that would not work… Meaning they’d have to program for each backpack. Not sure if they’ll do that.

And yes yes yes! 5 man legendary armor needs to be a thing. I say implemented through fractals.

I’d like to see the story mode for dungeons have a single player option like Zhaitan. It doesn’t even need to have rewards beyond mob drops, whilst the 5 player option can have better rewards.

New skins for underwater areas. Ultimately I want underwater to be less neglected and get some love, but new skins would be a great start. Especially black lion skins getting updated.

More bosses given the shatter and teq treatment with mchanics. Ulgoth esp feels poor considering it is the climax of a multi map centaur war. Megadestroyer seems prime for new mechanics too and karka queen is destroyed in under a minute now.

1)For the dungeons the fact that they give not bad end-chests (50 silvers if im not wrong), is the solution Anet implemented , and i agree. As for only story experience i say you are right. In fractals you can select to make it ‘’a challenge’’ dus having a harder experience, a good solution is to reverse the fractal challenge mentality in : ‘’FULL STORY’’ experience by up-leveling you in the form of a stats boost just like in wvw or, as in GW1, the npc’s that help you get stronger.

2)For the underwater experience i say at some point we will have to fight the Water Dragon , then i say it will be the golden opportunity to remake the underwater system a new " " !

3)Dont worry for the world bosses Anet said that in time things will change

1) That isnt my suggestion at all
2) Im unconvinced we will fight the DSD or at least in the ocean. Either way, my suggestion is new skins which we shouldnt need to wait for an overhaul
3) They have not to my knowledge stated all bosses will change in time

We do lack a lot of underwater content
But while i agree that we need new skins for underwater weapons and masks, if Anet will not make new areas that people will draw to do events and metas who will see your awesome new skin ? :/
I gear up to survive the new contents but i fashion up, so that people will see how cool my character is , i know im not the only one doing this)))

This is why i made my 1st point : Make backpacks seer through shields or a new idea create a option in settings → game options , to disable the shield while ooc but keep the effects ( glowing , for flameseeker the walking effect , etc active).

Or and listen very well Anet , here is a good one : make the skins on Black lion capable to bee seen while having a shield and legendary backpacks 2 (this will focus people to work harder for the backpacks or spend more money , a win win situation).

Its hurting that i need too swap the weapons all the time while im not fighting just cuz no one can see my backpack :/

I don’t see any sense in showing backpacks through shields. You put the shield over the backpack, so how are you going to see it? It can’t go through the shield, or around it. It’s 2 items covering each other. Either the shield covers the backpack, or the backpack covers the shield. It’s only logical. Imagine the clipping if you’d be able to see both. It’d be a disaster. And don’t give me that “it’s magic because it’s a fantasy game” crap. That excuse won’t work on everything.

My suggestions:
1. build templates
2. saving rune and sigil options when changing stats on legendary gear (e.g.: if you equip one rune or sigil on legendary gear, you will always have the option to put that back if you changed stats and change it back, so you won’t have to keep buying the same runes and sigils)
3. a sell all option (I believe that it’s people’s own responsibility to take notice of things they don’t want to sell. Put it in the bank/shared inventory slot/invisible bag. It’s called being thorough and attentive instead of just blindly clicking a button without checking)
4. I would like to see them put effort into underwater combat, but I don’t expect it anytime soon, nor would I be surprised if they never did
5. a key chain, or something with a similar purpose (i.e. easier to implement in GW2’s basecode, since I understand that implementing a key chain is apparently difficult if not impossible with the current basecode)
6. build templates (2nd mention is not an oversight; this game REALLY needs the ability to save builds)

Not really a suggestion, but more a wish. I would like to see them put dungeons back on the menu again, to put instanced content spread throughout the world instead of a collection of instances in one place (Fractals) and besides Raids ( I do raid, so this is not a criticism from an anti-raid player). But I understand the constant nerfs over the years have defeated the original purpose of dungeons, and that Raids fill that purpose much better (the purpose being challenging content). Dungeons are dead easy these days, especially with elite specializations, but I always loved doing them and would like to see new ones added. And I don’t see the harm in implementing easy instanced content for the more casual and less-skilled players.

About the back pack just let me use the ‘’hide shield’’ option, or shield remains on your hand active as in combat mode while you are ooc. boom fixed !

2)You can change the stats on any legendary gear w/o losing the infusions and sigils on it!

3) And i agree i did some mistakes of clicking stupidly and i got kittened but that is life) be a man and suck it up !

About raid i did not say a content nerf as in Kitty mode)) but do scale down to 5 people and still put us in 2hours pain i want difficult content but sometimes people have more things to do beside w8 1 hour for the rest of the guild to come and raid :/
I suggest a 5 man version that gives less rewards that 10 man ,this way people will go for 10 man, keep the same or close in duration, and give the pugs or non elite raiders a chance to experience the story. We all paid for the game, why not enjoy it to the full ?

Suggestions to make underwater content more popular:

1) make aquatic weapons have land uses so people appreciate their spears/tridents/harpoon guns and are encouraged to keep them updated

2) make aquabreathers drop from normal enemies, give more accessibility of these. i have my ascended one but most people should be able to buy exotics for 3g on the TP like everything else

3) brighten up the water. even if it’s less realistic: crystal clear, bright water would be much more pleasant

4) more underwater skills (why no chrono wells but necro wells are OK?)

This one is easy to answer: because the elite specializations came long after ANet abandoned any underwater related content/combat. Just look at the Revenant underwater. Frankly, it’s a disgrace, but there’s nothing we can do about it except keep on mentioning it.

Well, it’s an MMO with different game modes. There’s nothing that says anyone should enjoy all aspects of the game. By that logic, why not just remove WvW? I hate that game mode and steer clear of it as much as I can (except for GoB acquisition, which takes me a long time because I only do a few WvW dailies every now and then). Dungeons aren’t for everyone. Should those be removed too? What about Fractals? Let’s go back to the 50 levels because T4 is too difficult for some people or they hate it? No, Raids are fine as they are. In any MMO the majority of players don’t do Raids, but they’re still important content for those people who enjoy that level of challenge. Besides, all the changes I’ve seen mentioned (in this thread and others) about making Raids more accessible, would require way too much time and work. I’d rather have ANet focus on real new content, that adjust existing content to make it more accessible to a larger audience. Besides, Raids are engrained in the consciousness of MMO players as the most difficult content in any MMO. Adjust it, and there will still be people who complain about it being too difficult/inaccessible or won’t even approach it, simply because of the fact it’s Raids.

:))) i just said put people in the same 2 hours pain but let people group faster and have a bigger role in the party. Even then i went 1 step higher and said punish 5 man with less rewards than the normal 10 man, so that people that raid normally will strive to get 10 men.

As for removing content i said no such thing sr :/

ps Dungeons are for everyone no offence, i said nothing about fractals and im starting to think you did not read what i said……but only raged at the though that pugs must have a chance to do Raiding or that Anet will not focus on new content cuz they need to fix or improve. (they can do both, tell me how many raids do you think GW2 will have ? dont treat the raiding developing team as a slave that needs to come up with new content ’’weekly’’ just cuz we want them too )
And my 1st problem with raiding was the lock of content to the rest of the players ….. or shall from this day on raiding be only for specific elite nobles just like in WOW ?))
Or shall we tremble at the word of raiding ? ouuuu the mighty 6man in exotic who did it, the difficulty is so huge that we cant comprehend the power))) ok enough with the joke sr btw.

To sum things up 5man raiding is for FAST GROUPING that is all.

Ps Thank you for posting the idea of this topic is to help the devs to decide or improve that is all
Cheers !

Because you said “We paid for the game, why not play enjoy it to the full?” I’m confident there’s a large quantity of players who do not immerse themselves in the entire game. Some like only PvE, some abhor playing against AI mechanics and do only PvP. Some don’t like the WvW zerg mentality and do only sPvP, while some only play WvW. The game is created to have something for everyone, not to have everyone enjoy all aspects of the game. I mentioned the removing because I also paid for the game, but I only play 1 of the 3 game modes available at the moment (I’m on a sPvP hiatus at the moment).

I said dungeons aren’t for everyone because I personally know people who don’t like instanced content but just do open world stuff. So dungeons aren’t for everyone. Unless you can show us that 100% of the player base takes on the dungeons, which you can’t. Adjusting Raids so they can be played with 5 people would mean overhauling the entire system, which is simply not worth it when you put it against the release of new content. I’m confident that most people would prefer new content over an overhaul of Raids to make them accessible for 5-man groups.

There’s nothing wrong with my reading comprehension skills. I just responded to what you wrote and took it one step further. Your reply is based on a few assumptions you make about things I never said. I do not rage against the thought that pugs must have a chance to do Raids. I simply pointed out that overhauling Raids wouldn’t be worth it because it takes time away from new Raids and new content. I said nothing about ANet needing to fix or improve, so I don’t know where that came from. I don’t know how many Raids GW2 will have, nor does anyone. The future will tell us. I never said the raiding development team needs to come up with new content every week, nor did I suggest anything remotely close to that. I have patience. I can wait a few months, or even until the next expansion for another Raid to come out.
And yes, Raiding is designed specifically for a certain group of players, namely those who seek new and bigger challenges. You can’t put that in all aspects of the game, because then the entire game would become inaccessible to the more casual players, which is something I definitely do not want. I also enjoy my time in the relatively easy open world maps. With 10 world completions and 0 legendaries it’s pretty safe to say I have no problem with that content but actually like doing that. I never suggested people should tremble at the word Raid, but I know that people do, because Raids have a certain image to the general MMO public. A valid image, too (they are the most challenging content in any MMO that has Raids; that’s not an opinion, that’s a fact).

The idea of 5 man raiding for fast grouping is a good one, but I just wanted to point out it’s highly unlikely ANet will put time and money into that, because Raiding was never meant to be for the entire player base, only for the ones who want the most challenging content. That part about challenge has been in the game manifesto for as long as this game exists. Dungeons failed in that regard, but Raids succeeded.

So instead of questioning my reading comprehension skills, perhaps you should stop assuming I’m an elitist raider.

And now back to suggestions for this awesome game.

I see Mr TheNecrosanct (sr if I misspelled ) , that we have meet on different posts and we simply see the game in different lenses. Debates are important and ideas too , again thank you for posting, Gw2 needs more people involving themselves in the game and help, those who spend time in developing it.
As for what you thought as an attack to your personal ability of reading, I never said you cant, i just assumed that by the answer you gave , you just did no read my posts or didn’t spend more than 2min thinking about what i said and the vision i had.
As for Anet never deliver 5 man raid what about next wing ? why not next raid in the fullest why not ? just think of this new wing as a freash breath of air, if it fails, anytime they can expand the no of players back to 10 in the next wing ,following the failed 5 man …
Again if you missread my jokes and arguments as insulting, I apologize! but this is the end of our discussion. If anything personal pm me and there we can discuss more about this and that.

Cheers ^^/
