Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice knowing the exact damage you’re doing, but I always prefer to hide it when I can. I can immerse myself in the world a whole lot better without numbers jumping around. I can feel more a part of the story if I’m not constantly being reminded that this is, yes, a video game. Look at the pretty numbers.

And I have that big red-ish bar at the top of the screen to see how close the target is to dying anyhoo. That, at least, I can morbidly change in my head. (“Oh, looks like they’ve bled out a lot so far…”)

So, any way to hide them? If not, I’ll manage. Mostly just curious.

Oh for the love of little green tomatoes…

I understand your issue, and I agree, but for this game, hiding HP bars would be impractical, as there really is no way to know when an enemy really is close to falling without it. Your foes aren’t visibly hurt and they don’t show visual signs that they are weak as far as I am concerned.

These things are some classic tabletop relics that, even with possible alternatives on the table, persist on MMORPGs. People just are too used to numbers and some will even turn hostile if you attempt to take their numbers away from them.

I would love this option as well. I do hide them whenever I can. I couldn’t care less about the numbers and they only get in the way what I’m trying to look at. However I would still like the option to keep the other statuses visible, like being blocked, obstructed and so on.

Eoch, he’s asking for that red bar to be left alone. All he wants is to hide the damage numbers on the screen that pop up whenever you hit an enemy.

Personally, I’d love an option for this.
