You guys probably get a lottttttt of these posts, but I just hit level 80 on my Thief, my first 80, and I’m kinda overwhelmed on what to hit first.

I need to work on crafting, as I haven’t done any at all.
Dry Top? Silverwastes? Dungeons? Fractals? Map Completion?

Whatever seems appealing to you. There isn’t any special blueprint you must follow. Choose a goal, and work toward that, or….just do anything that seems fun!

Welcome to Tyria, and good luck!

For Story etc, Personal Story then Read about Living Story Season 1 then Living Story Season 2.
Other that that, do what you enjoy and have fun

Silverwastes is good practice. The mobs are more challenging so you can practice improving your dodge/stealth survivability.

Make sure you’re working toward getting geared up. If you want to be a damage dealer you can start out with a more tanky Soldier stat gear (Power, Toughness, Vitality) and work your way toward Berserker (Power, Precision, Ferocity.)

The dungeon community can be quite accommodating and patient, just don’t join any groups advertising “exp” because they do not mean “explorable” they mean “experienced.” If you can’t find any groups that will let a new player in, start your own dungeon party and label it “first time” or something. People usually show up to those. Starting a LFG in no way requires you to be the “leader.”

Map completion is up to you. You don’t necessarily progress while doing it. You can get some level 78 exotic gear, but nothing max unless its a drop. It’s often not a test of skill like Silverwastes or dungeons. Map completions do give you crafting materials, so that can help.

ok, dont bother wasting ur money on ANY weapon skins that ARENT legendaries. save ALL ur mats, gather up A LOT of money, dont use ANY weapon skins u get, just sell them when the price goes up. get a legendary, get ascended back piece, get a condi build on ur thief, solo WVW with ur condi build. have fun. thiefs are fun for pvp….not for pve XD lol, so have fun owning in wvw and in spvp (spvp is more balanced). as for the rest….do w.e u want mannnnn

get skins that are appealing to you, work on getting exotic gear, read living story season 1, do living story season 2, pick a legendary you would like to work toward, do some WvW and PvP

Do what is fun. It’s the only reason to play.
