You are aware that they have most likely already worked a full year on a potential expansion if it is going to be released soon, right? And most (if not all) of the race requests have been here since release.

It is not like they started developing it the moment they released the trailer.

And how you know this? Sure it’s a lot of work, but keep in mind that they can have been working on this for years in the background without our knowledge.

Everything being suggested has been suggested for over 2 years now.

With ArenaNet hesitant to develop full armor sets and giving the reason that it takes much more time to develop, I don’t see why ArenaNet would even want to add a new race unless it used one of the existing playable models.

You can speculate about which races, if any, will be implemented. Sure, that’s fun. But suggestions made now to implement race X, Y or Z for when HoT comes out? I’m sorry, but that’s downright unrealistic. Obviously well intended, but it can’t be done.

Like we care, at least we are trying something.

I expect they started development the moment the main bugs were fixed after release or even before (as there are clearly doors to other areas) givng them 800 days… not a year.

We’ll see. I just hope to be blown away by the overwhelming greatness of said, expansion, either paid or just added on…. I hope to see something mindblowing…..

I’m gonna say there’s less than 10% chance of new race anytime soon, if ever. And that’s being generous. Introducing a new race would screw up so many things that I just don’t see it happening.

I don’t think anyone asking for something at this point realistically hopes the devs will suddenly add it. At this point it’s more a collection of what people hope will be happening than a request for it to happen

I think most threads about a possible new race at this point are just speculations and hopes, not requests.
