I can’t believe they priced it this high. There just doesn’t seem to be enough to warrant that price tag.

Quoting for emphasis. While I agree that having to buy the core game again to get HoT, this is coming with an extra account-creating key. It remains to be seen what it will cost to just upgrade, if that becomes an option.
For $50 I’d expect it to have almost as much content as the base game, which I highly doubt it does.
I sincerely hope that’s the price of a collectors edition (if there is any) and that the price of just the expansion is more reasonable.

You must not play very many MMOs. “look everything you are getting”? you have to be joking. That’s like telling someone to look at how much room is the $400k 100sq ft shack has. The amount of stuff in this expansion isn’t impressive by any means. it’s standard to small.
We don’t know how many zones where getting blah blah blah, but I highly doubt it’s anywhere near 1/4 of what the base game had. & everything they’ve been saying is like they are trying to prepare us for a smaller than normal amount.

i’m a broke college student..i cant bu many things on a strict budget. but i have good friends in other games who i trade in game money, to help me with games XD

there is no Upgrade only purchase. this is it. the expac costs 50$ US.
And I was wondering why they were pushing the gemstore that hard. If everybody is as stingy as the people in this thread, this game would be dead for a long time now.
The Xpan alone isn’t going to be 50. It’s just not up yet.
An expansion as a product is targeted first and foremost to current players. If pricing information is not provided about how current players will upgrade that means that current players are not the majority of the product’s target audience.

Hmm. Basic $50, Basic with stuff $75, Basic with stuff and $50 of gems $100. Seems like they are trying to make the $100 package the logical choice if you where getting the stuff anyways. I wonder if this will drive gem prices down.
But if they think the bulk of existing players will pay $50 for the expansion, they are probably right but they will be very unhappy players if the expansion isn’t … expansive.
technically the 100 euro version would be worth it alone for the gem items (finisher 500 gems?, charslot 800 gems, 4000 gems extra)
+ you get the glider skin + guildhall decoration + mini rytlock
so if you have use for those items the 100 euro version is definitly worth it
otherwise take the 45 euro version
