It is unfair to:

The people who recently purchased the game to have to ask for a refund and lose the progress they had made to get that refund.

The people in customer service/support who now have to process what is probably thousands of refunds because of this.

The players with actual problems having time taken away from there problems to process those refunds.

The Devs and livestream crew who are excited and pumped to showcase the work they have accomplished for us to have it overshadowed and downplayed by this fiasco.

The forum all the forum staff and reps who have to take the heat from all of us for something that wasn’t their doing. I feel your pain.

It is unfair to all these fine people to have to go through this cause a couple corporate dipkittens in marketing tried to play us for fools and those involved in making that decision should be giving all the people mentioned above a formal sincere apology.

Be careful what you wish for, Anet might just give it to you “HoT”

Yup, therefore that is why I posted a smiley face. I agree that the anger needs to be redirected at corporate, and not the Anet devs and such……they had nothing to do with any of this pricing/marketing.

That being said, there are lots of threads with the same sort of comments as yours….(I commented about exactly the same thing in many of those threads.)

No one?

If someone recently purchased the game and is making progress, that person can continue to make progress for months until the expansion comes out. (I do hope they got the game for ~20$USD or less, though).

If they purchased the game in wait for the expansion, and didn’t progress, then they should absolutely ask for and receive a refund.

How many people with (real) issues are having time taken away from their resolutions because of this?

As for those at Anet, dealing with things like this is their job, so I’m sure that while they don’t enjoy it, they ARE being paid to deal with it.

Yea, the search engine on this site doesn’t work very good.
But you’re preaching to the choir with me on your original post. I completely agree.

NCSoft marketing created all this bs with the expansion, yet Anet devs and programmers are the ones having to deal with the brunt of the anger.
