I recently completed Chapter 5 of personal story for a Sylvari, having chosen the Quaggan storyline after joining the Priory.
I enjoy returning to my home instance every now and then to see the tangible impacts of the story on my character’s supposed HQ. It seems that this could be a really enjoyable feature of the game, especially for those interested in the evolution of lore and progression of the narrative.
However, I cannot understand why my character (who has a large pool of water in their home instance) is joined solely by the Quaggan Shashoo, and the human home instance has an entire village of Quaggan’s stuffed into a small fountain!
I think this is a real shame, and it would be both aesthetically pleasing, and coherent narrative-wise, to have this consistent across all the playable races who can side with the Quaggans. I.e., I understand that Asura players suffer from the same issue.
While I have not experienced enough of the separate storylines to make a judgement, I wonder if this is an inconsistency that is repeated in other racial sympathies.
I can understand that this is not a development priority, but it is small (meaningful) features like this that make Guild Wars 2 the rich and immersive world that it is.
