Guild Wars 2

Hey guys,
I just read the 2013 plans and had a question.

So back a few months ago Chris Whiteside did an AMA on reddit, and I asked this same question:
When are home instances (and by extension personal story) going to be brought up to the level they were advertised before the game’s release? Will they be expanded upon?

He responded and said that they plan to build on it moving forward, and we could expect great things in this department.

These two features (specifically home instance) were THE REASON I got this game, yet the 2013 plans make it sound like the focus of this game will be dungeons, loot, and PvP (Basically, abandoning the features I (personally) thought made this game unique in favor of making the game like every other MMO).

My question is… should I stop waiting? I do understand that “planning to work on” doesn’t mean “will work on”. I just want to know if I am waiting in vain for these features to never be expanded on since they don’t seem to be “popular”.

I would honestly love a home and an expanded personal story especially more order based missions. So I guess you are not alone. I didn’t buy the game for them but it would be great.

I do think that they will add those, No time frame however. Here is hoping

I don’t remember where exactly but I believe I remember there being more recent mention of additional personal story quests within the first half of the year.
If it is true and still in the plan, I would suspect it would revolve primarily around Destiny’s Edge (getting back together finally now, instead of their drama eating our glory. XD) and/or the Orders and thus the alliance between them.

I definitly want my house O_O

That’s the kind of things that a lot of players are looking for because you can’t really find it in many MMOs. I think that they would definitly get love from a lot of new players with housing.

Next Personal Story advancement will be with Destiny’s Edge and their vendetta against Kralkattorik, who will be the next Elder to kill. Calling it.

Personally I’d hope for a return to the racial 1-30 storyline… I enjoyed that one the most.

These were aspects of the game I really looked forward to when I read everything up to release. The home instance and the racial and order stories were parts that helped sell the game to me and I really hope these are aspects that we see more of this year.
