I use to be a GW player and I’m joining GW2 for the first time, what should I choose for my home world? I enjoy bothe PvP and PvE. There are some home worlds that say full, are those closed off permanently from me being able to join them?

The only thing that matters with what world you are in is WvW. With PvE you play with players of all worlds and I believe it is the same with PvP. With WvW you play with your server. If you wish to join a full server there are times of the day that there may be some open slots. Right now I would choose any server to try out and if you wish to change servers you can do so for free by deleting all your chars but make sure you put valuables into your bank so they dont get permanently deleted.

do you mean you main server the server choose only matters for WvW pve is very open so you can pve cross servers with the mega server system same with spvp which is the team 5v5 pvp so if you wanna choose a server depend on how you wanna play WvW which the servers vs servers vs server pvp

I rather just pick a good one and not have to worry about rerolling.
