Home instance resource nodes
That is correct. Until they re-release these things cannot be gotten.
That really stinks, but it shouldn’t surprise me.
What do you mean by “until they re-release”? Do you mean “IF they re-release”? Or have they announced something I haven’t seen yet?
If they re-release.
Sad but true, GW2 is built mostly on exclusive content. Be there or be square.
I’m usually really sweet… but this an internet forum and you know how it has to be.

And people say this game caters to casuals, there is NOTHING CASUAL about the LS and other crap like this.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Really stinks. My daughter recently quit playing altogether because she had a life, and ANet passed her by. She came back to see LA in shambles and her unable to find anything (she didn’t know about the camp at the Vigil).
And, she wanted to do some Mystic Forge work. I had to tell her sorry, there’s no way to get there any more without spending real money. Sad, really. She used to like the game, but being a senior in college required too much time. Now that she has more time, she can’t play any more (or, feels that way, anyhow).
What bothers me is that they made the same stupid mistake in GW1 with Winds of Change. They had to backstitch in alterations because the player base revolted, and now they’re making the same mistake all over again.
The most recent living stories brought back some items that were previously only available in earlier LS. I don’t expect them to bring back the home nodes any time soon (though that’s not to say never), but I think previously living story items will be more commonly included (which is not to say they will be commonly obtained) in the second season. Additionally, I think it’s a reasonable guess that the item merchant they’ve alluded to will allow players to trade current LS items for previous, no longer obtainable ones.
Crafting is designed for gear accessibility, not profit.

There is an easy to access Mystic Forge at the Vigil in Gendarran Fields, in addition to the one in the airship.

I’ve wondered the same thing many times about this game. I was drawn to this game because I heard it was suitable for casuals, but t’s one of the most hardcore games I’ve ever played in many respects.
Basically this game is not suitable for your daughter and Anet is unapologetic about that as long as the current design philosophy is paying their wages.

Really? I must have missed it. I’ll check again. Which area? (compass directions are fine).
The Mystic Forge is right in the middle of the keep between the bank and the portals.
You can also use the Mystic Forge in WvW.

If you miss out on an exclusive event, it does not matter how casual the game is, if you arent there, you aint getting anything from it. Yes, GW2 is great for casual players, no it does not hand you everything you’ve missed on a silver platter with a handwritten apology on gold leaf.
