Thought id share some ideas as to how build templates might look and feel.

The basic premise is that build templates would edit all equipped items, as well as specializations and action skills with a simple push of a button, saving lots of time for people who switch builds often.

As pictured below in the imgur link, all armour/weapons/accessories would have a second layer behind them to place a second set of equipment on.

This could be switched at any time as long as the player is out of combat, providing an easy method to change builds.

Builds can be switched by pressing “I” or “II”. You would even be able to use a different set of dyes for the second set.

In order to prevent players from having to craft a second set of legendary armour, any armour currently equipped would automatically be transferred over to the second build if no armour is already there.

The build tab would also offer the ability to swich builds. Changes made would be saved to allow for easy swiching later.

Using this system, builds could easily be changed between 2 different types very quickly. It allows for people with legendary armour (or only 1 set of ascended armour) to still make use of it.

Looks like fine proposal to me. It is not a feature I absolutely need myself, as I have already used to carrying around 2 sets of gear, but with more elite specs and more stats incoming with PoF I can see this to be useful feature.

Plus, I think it is already working in the game, whenever you enter WvW the game knows your WvW build. They just need to make it activate on button press instead of WvW enter.
