So, after doing the new grenth in Orr over and over which isn’t to hard really, and if you really want my thoughts on it, I am going to copy and paste them from another thread I left a comment on but where I am getting at is that I notice so many people cannot tell that they got agro of the mob attacking them in a event like this where there is lots going on.
I would like to see a better helpful agro mechanic like other MMOs have for example below the bosses HP bar, put the name of the person he is currently locked onto and I doubt many people read their combat logs also. I would like for GW 2 to implement that some day, and it could be useful for dungeons also because you could drop aoe heals or heal the ally being attacked by the mob.
Personally? I don’t have a problem myself telling if I got agro in big events or if there happens to be lots of mobs around me but it would be nice to see what the mob is currently locked onto and BY all means if this is already in the game I haven’t found it yet because what I go by is the mob such as grenth in this case shooting at me and looking at me.
How do you feel about the agro mechanics in big events like this and oh for people who are having a hard time with grenth here is my comment about why that temple is so hard.

I’m going to chime in here and comment tho what I might say might have already been said, I am going to say what I think.
First off, it’s not a hard event, what makes it so hard is the fact that you are grouping with random people and have not thought out a plan like make some people be the shade killers, others on grenth.
The biggest problem is that whoever has agro is usually close by the stairs, and Jones always gets one shotted because of it. Now I will say there is tricks to being successful in actually avoiding the instant death, for example having exotic armor, maybe put traits in falling damage if you got it.
Everyone but the shade killers need to be at the far back or at least in the middle, the best way to dodge the rings of death and vortexes is to have your camera turned on the side and when you see a ring appear, just move or roll up…. It’s best to use ranged attacks in this event anyways than up close attacks until grenth is about to die.
The shades cannot really kill Jones but they can kill you in 1 hit and can become annoying, so have some people agree to be the shade killers before it starts.
Only thing I want changed about the event is the loot at the end, it should give better loot than just greens.".
