When you are playing GW2 how do you image yourself? For example, I imagine myself as a blood thirsty swordsman traveling the plains of Tyria ^~^

I’m a mesmer (pretty much in real life too lol). I go around annoying people (also true in real life and these forums). It’s a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

This is how I see myself

I don’t RP in the game (outside of dialogue choices if I can), but I RP in tabletop and forums, so some of that comes into how I see my MMO characters over they ears.

My Thief is an overconfident but charming swashbuckler.
The Ranger is a scrappy little fighter who weighs half as much as her greatsword (Pretty much every skill has to do with momentum or Counterkicking around it) but has the ferocity and ingenuity of her entire stable.
The Mesmer is a sardonic battlemage masquerading as a stage magician.
I don’t really have a bead on my Guardian. Generically stoic, as Paladins tend to be for me.

Depends on the character.

My human ranger is a noble who is descended from heroes who took down a lich, Shiro and even helped Kormir take on Abaddon (although to hear them tell it they did all the work and she practically just stood there).

She was pretty much raised on the idea that it is her duty to protect her people, but her heart is really in exploring, traipsing all over Tyria getting into every nook and cranny and all kinds of trouble. She’d never admit it (even to herself) but she loves that the dragons allowed her to combine both her passion and her duties.

I imagine that I should take a shower. Or at least brush the potato chip crumbs off my shirt. But I never do….

OMG if whatever Yoda is ever becomes a playable race in TOR I’ll reinstall it. And probably sub. Just to be that Sith class that dual wields lightsabers…

On topic: Asuran guardian is worth it just for the hammerjump.

My asura engi is a likeably snarky, somewhat sloppy, whirlwind of Death By BOOM. Her workspace is always slightly cluttered, she’s never heard of a clothes iron, and her sense of humor is incredibly dry, but any creature that tries to take a chunk out of her is Going Down . . . followed by a maniacal laugh or two, a disdainful sniff, and an extra boom to light the way.

My asuran mesmer on the other hand is an adorable ball of energy and a bit of a beauty queen and clothes horse. Every time she looks at her armour choices she huffs out her breath desparingly and shudders in disgust as she puts the ugly stuff on anyway (seriously, most light armor is sooooo horrid looking). She sees clones and phantasms as better than 360 degree mirrors when it comes to seeing how outfits look.

Lately? On my ranger, more like Bron. (Game of Thrones)

On my warrior? Heat, without the crazy love triangle thing. (Digital Devil Saga)
