As many (or not) of you know, an easy way to check how long you have played the game in total is to type /age in chat. So I checked, and started wondering how long other people have been playing, their average time on per day, and how long it took them to get to the level they are (assuming they’re not level 80 yet). For starters, here are my stats:

Across all characters, I have played about 61 hours. Over 24 days, that averages to about 2.5 hours of play time a day. I have a level 25 thief (level 5 PVP) and a level 20 warrior (also level 5 PVP).

Please feel free to say how much I suck, how should be on more (or less), ect. You could even post your own times gasp. Let’s see how everyone matches up.

I am currently updating the game but I can assure you I have spent an unhealthy amount of time in the game, probably borderline obscene.

Since christmas. Loving it but i disliked being ranger and mesmer not enough action im gonna try guardian and hopefully have what im looking for.

Since release.

Across all characters I have played for 894 hours for 4 months.
about 3.2 hours avg a day.

Kind of proud of what I’ve achieved so far.

Lol I’d say yes that is most defiantly a lot of play time. I did the math and that equals out to ruffly about 17.25 hrs a day, 7 days a week. WOW!

Not really, just means you didn’t log your charrs out =P

lol idk…. you have to want some sort of record if you dont log out that often

A lot of it is probably downtime with dungeon DR or people afking.

It all depends on how long you’ve been playing. Although the game hasn’t been out very long anyways.

BTW, is it possible to create polls on these forums? I would like to make a poll of this.

355 hours in the last two months. I’m a no lifer
2 level 80s in full exotics
fractal level 5 lol
3 other characters started (level 60, 20 and 17)
going to seek mastering all the crafting professions, not only 3 that I have mastered right now.
Doing stuff in the end game right now, getting dungeon skins to transmute to for one character, saving up for tier 3 cultural armor set for the skin for the other one
3 points of interest away from my first full explore too
I feel happy with what I’ve achieved really

This is a good point. Sounds good.

I have been doing only sPVP and WvW. Mainly WVW for money, karma, friends, a semblance of pvp, leveling, and fun. sPVP is for an esport. Even though I enjoy sPVP more, Its just too repetitive.

Posted my age earlier in the thread.

For the most part, just playing with my guild mates really. Dungeons mainly, helping friends get their legendary now and they helped me get mine. Guild events which revolve around jumping puzzles and wvw. Having a guild that actually does things together really help you stick to a game despite how many flaws GW2 currently has.

Been pretty much focus on collecting legendaries for my Guardian, so far got Sunrise and Juggernaut.
So the game was more like a job rather than pure joy, and I know it sounds weird but I actually enjoy “collecting” and “building up” towards a goal, so even thought I described my last 300 hours as such, they did have their appeal to me personally.
As for the rest, I’m still quite good in pvp, actually more than most players I’ve been facing (and I’m totally rusty), been doing some WvWvW, sPvP, and other holidays pvp for fun’s sake, and enjoy I did.

Thanks to some lucky circumstances I got myself into working towards Quip now, should be finished before the 1k mark

Wow, so, I was super excited for this game, I played beta and I play every time I get a chance.

179 hours. 169 on my main. You people scare me O.o

I wish I had more time.

~380 hours over two accounts. I barely cracked 1000 hours on GW1 since the year it came out. Dear god.

270+ hours over the past 2months. Have a lvl80 Ranger, in a small and close-knit guild nowadays we wvw to get badges, or doing dungeon or i’ll help some guildies lvling up their low lvl alts.

Across all characters, you have played for 1576 hours 16 minutes over the past 4 months.
My main’s clocked 1523 hours and 5 mins over the past 4.

I started really playing 11/29.

On my Thief 107 hours over the last 35 days.

497 Hours across all characters.

14 hours a day.

No shame.

763 hours and 49 minutes since launch. I got 3 level 80s now, but only my main in full tier 3 armour transmuted with exotics.

1400 hours since release.

Before you hate know I am a stay at home work at home dad with a computer repair business that mostly is just start a laptop wipe it, reboot it, call the client. I have 3 kids who play outside in the fenced backyard. A wife who is a nurse. Yes its a dream life. I made a good wife investment.

5 level 80’s been just playing around on the last few. Yes, my wife plays as well. Although not nearly as much as I have.

._. 232 hours on my main and 520 hours overall characters I feel ashamed…

At 1000 hours played a few of my guild mates did donate one gold each to me which pushed me above the 100g mark and I bought my worthless commander title. NO I DO NOT sit in LA with the tag on……

So I guess hitting over 1k hours had some benefit…..besides showing how much of my time I have blown on this game over the past 4 months.

I got gw2 just after Christmas, and since classes started today ( Jan. 8th) I kind of didn’t have much else to do other than play my necromancer and make some alts. Not any kind of record, but I got my necro up to 80 in like 4 days of semi-nolifing (probably like 10 hrs a day or so of actual playing, remember I didn’t have much else to do because most of my friends had already started classes again). Definitely the fastest I’ve gotten my first character to max level in an mmo, but was fun regardless. Now I just need to work on those 6 pieces of ascended gear for my build woohoo for fractals on bad connection, where if you drop near the end you have to start all over.

Hit my 100th hour a few days ago!!! Going for 150 now.

1541 hrs 39 minutes over all characters in 5 months

Main has died 203 times.

I have two level 80’s. Only 1 in full exotics. I have Master Craftsman. My achievement level is 3600+

About a month. I haven’t played GW1 in years.

How is it possible that with almost 400 hours/4 months I feel like I’ve spent way to much time on playing instead of, you know, living?
