How about exp transferred to alt?
For me, the most fun i’ve had with this game since it was released was the leveling process.. I have three 80’s.. and 4 other alts ranging from 15 to 55 and the only crafting skill I maxed was leatherworking.. on my very first character, barely touched any crafts since (because it’s all rubbish and only for xp) When I login I just pick one and then go find a zone that fits and just roam around.. events/hearts etc.. trying to solo champs at low level.. helping other players in the zones.. joining wvw with the rest of my guild (though I often pick an 80 for that)
The game world is freaking huge.. with a varied number of pve zones to get lost in, if you don’t enjoy leveling the other classes you probably won’t have fun playing them at max level either.. just stick to what you find fun, that is the key :P

I get what you mean kinda, that leveling get’s boring. The only reason it get’s boring for me is because i don’t like doing map completion that much after getting my first 100%
Your idea will probably not be implemented though, and i don’t think there will be a lot of positive reactions to it.
And besides, they do give you a possibility to play with one character and level the others
Not that you’ll like it, but you could always play your main character, transfer the gold to your other characters and craft them up to level 80.
Another way, which is way cheaper than the crafting one:
Do a dungeon instance with your main character, so you can enjoy it. Park your alt-character outside the dungeon. And just before the endboss, swap characters.
You won’t get as much gold, but you’ll gain almost a level every time.
In a way you can already do this. Make a new character and use your main characters funds to level all crafting professions on him (you get 10 levels per full profession). This is quite expensive though (around 60-90g in total) but much quicker than normal leveling.
Keep in mind though that part of the leveling process is getting to know your class, which you skip if you skip the leveling.

Half map completion and half crafting would be better in that case. You get to learn to play your class and you skip 50% of the leveling. So craft to 15 first then do 10 levels then craft and so on.
Craft till level 30ish.
Learn all your weapon skills.
Now you have enough personal story/choices of viable maps/wvw/spvp/dungeons(you will be close to 35 for AC by the time you finish weaps.) to keep you busy well into the next 80.
