How about expansion with new gears
…i am sorry, is that a troll thread? I think the answer is obvious – the people that like ascended gear will want the new eq (and likely character level increase), while the people that didn’t like ascended eq will be against it. The arguments for both sides will stay the same.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
No, because I was sold Guild Wars 2 with the idea that it wouldn’t be that.
No.
I want:
-The Ritualist back
-Dungeons that would put Giganticis to shame
-Unobtainium weapons that are more involved to acquire vs. current legendary system
-A fresh story that may or may not evolve from the Elder Dragons.
-Be taken to a fresh new part of the Tyria globe that we have not seen from either GW
-Dungeons with less trash and more boss.
-Unobtainium Armor.
-I want to know whats in the mages temple that floats in the sky

No. Not a troll question. You can read all my previous posts on this forum. I am very against a new tier.
However, I am just wondering if for some of you, maybe timing of the new tier is more of an issue.
Also, I had discussion with some other players I know in real life, and they have always believed the future expansions will likely to increase level cap. They were GW1 players. but I think once they saw the top level in GW2 is 80 rather then 20, they had no illusions about future expansions
New gears? Yes. New tiers? No. Simple.
What makes you want to continue playing @ people who said no? Not trying to get into any arguements, just wondering.
As for my answer to OP’s question I have to say that I don’t know. It depends how ANet approaches the concept.

I enjoy the game for reasons other than the carrot on the stick. I enjoy fractals because fractals are fun and I’m playing it with guildies. I enjoy levelling alts because I spend time playing a profession I haven’t or a race I haven’t.
I enjoy the game, not necessarily what gear I have. Getting more gear is all well and good, and I can do that just fine. Adding more is unnecessary for the enjoyment of the game.

This, a thousand times.
I would prefer that there be no power creep with the expansions. New weapon types, balanced with the old ones? Awesome. New Elite/Healing/Utility skills, balanced to the existing ones? Fantastic. Any new mechanic that improves versatility and depth without being statistically superior to what’s in the game now? Even better.
But, if there was an expansion with a level cap increase, and the new levels were just as quick to acquire as the old ones, and the new levels added enough to gameplay depth and variety (via traits or something similar), and the top-level equipment was no harder to get than level 80 Exotics are now, then I would be alright with that.
Tiers of gear with better stats than Exotics? Absolutely not.
No, but that isn’t going to happen. Blatant bait and switch, and a to add insult to injury, they act as if they did nothing wrong and insult our intelligence with “this is not a grind” posts.
