Is there a way to change my Guild’s name ? If so how and if not Why ?

Nope, changing the name of a guild is not possible.

I would assume simply because they don’t want people to be able to troll and such by changing the name of the guild all of a sudden.

There’s no option to change a guild name, not sure why.

However, if Anet deems it offensive, it could be changed to a random name, or at the worst disbanded.

No and because Anet says so.

If you want to “rename” your guild, create a new one and invite everyone from the old. If its a large guild it wont take that long to do all the upgrades.

This is my own Guild and use it mostly for storage . I have spent more than a few gold to get it where it is . I will spend money to change it . I have a great rep and would like to be able to change the Guild’s name . I can change so many other thing in this game but i don’t see why changing my guild name would be a problem ? I would like to get a Delv’s response on this and not be trolled for a legitimate reason why this simple can’t been done .

If it was your own guild, why didn’t you give it a good name from the start?

Being able to change the name of a guild can lead to quite a bit of issues such as trolling.

I have a great name for my guild and i like it . Nor is the name in anyway a violation of Anet’s police state . " But i would like to change it for the simple reason that i have a better name for it. I don’t troll people in game nor do i troll here on the forum . I simply would like to change the guild name . Why is this such an issue ? I simply would like to change the name of my guild that i have bought and payed for with my own time in game and money . There’s has been many player’s in the game that have commented that they think that the guild name is great and have a good laugh . I simply would like to change the name .

You might not do it, but there are people who will. And ArenaNet takes that into account when they make decisions.

I also seem to recall it being rather clearly when you create your guild that the name and tag will be permanent and that you should be absolutely sure before accepting it, due to it not being possible to change it.
