Hey guys, I currently am in a crappy situation. I played GW2 during the first months and got some 80s on yaks bend. Well I came back to the game recently only to find out my friends are on Dragonbrand now, and I am unable to xfer because the server is 24/7 FULL everytime I log in.

This is really aggravating, I want to play with my friends and even have the gems, but I cant seem to transfer. What can I do? Is there any daily downtime where I could transfer, or am I just screwed?

You can still play with your friends no matter what server you’re on. (Because of megaserver) Your server only matters for wvw.

Of course, if he’s intending to play with his friends in WvW, its a big problem.

Your best bet is to try at different times of the day. Sometimes, the server won’t read as full.

sorry, i forgot to mention in my post that we are playing for WVW… and yes it is a HUGE problem.

You’ll have to check and try periodically. The servers do sometimes drop to very high and reportedly are more likely to do so late at night. ANet also has in the past increased the server caps when a number of servers are full but they don’t do this on a schedule.

I was struggling not to say anything about Dragon-Wagon because the OP wanted to change because of his friend’s server… but I agree entirely with your sentiment.
