No, it’s not really possible to solo guild missions. You’d have to join a guild that does missions and run missions with that guild.
There are 5 guild missions. Bounty, Trek, Rush, Challenge, Puzzle. Your guild needs to unlock access to these before you can do them.
If you’re good and you’re lucky you might be able to solo guild bounties or guild rushes.
If you activate your guild puzzle/challenge/rush when there’s another large group there you can team up to get it done, you can also get credit for someone elses run as long as you have it active in your guild tab.
Trek doesn’t offer commendations.
You should also consider joining a PvX guild to do missions with.

Actually, it’s possible (just not very fun).
You can join multiple guilds, and do the guild missions with an alt guild. Since the last update to the system you can also piggyback on to the content like it was an event if another guild is doing it at the same time.
