Edit : I respect all kind of players. It’s not a flame thread but a sad statement of the actual state of the game. “Baddies” was here an affectionate term but it looks likes this thread was going to be locked due to flame. So i changed the title of the thread.

That sure is a list of things.

Maybe a way to establish that is to go play another game that requires you to have 48 game mods installed and then you can check their gear online and get a dps count after every single kill.

Then you can slap negative names on players.

In GW2, there are players. Just players. We don’t like to slap negative, degrading, nasty names on players here.

Most of the time “baddies” can at best only complain about what going on with them at the moment and “good players” tend to work out the problems at hand and try to find work arones.

You can only check if u are a good player: if u never have problems with bad players. Because good players just compensate and move on.

Seriously. Find me someone who is “plain bad” at Minecraft who will not pick up the game mechanics eventually.

mmmh i love this game cause there are no addons, NO DPS METERS, and no stress…
the community is much more relaxed, ppl tend to help players that dont know some mechanics instead of rank a player out of an addon number. this is the way i like gw2..

Lol at you,, if you believe any of those can tell the level of skill a player has. I dont do any endgame grinding on my main character. Yet I can do any form of PvE.

same with WvW.

I dont play SPvP because I find it boring gameplay. So how can anybody use that to test skill of the player? lol

I was considered a “baddie” in a dungeon group that I didn’t know the exploit to. If those are the “pro’s” we are talking about, they can keep their title.

And people wonder why That Other MMO still lives after eight years. Players like this one.

Really weird that everyone refers to “that other MMO” in different ways.

Totally agree with you. PvP leaderboards and WvW progression are coming luckily, but the rest is totally true and needs to be fixed badly.

This game requires social skill as well as combat skills. Anyone who broadly labels players as “baddies” lacks the first and should probably be playing another game.

Seriously, in this game I would much rather play with someone who’s under geared and whose spec is less than ideal, but knows how to move (defense) and achieve good offensive synergies (simplified as good at combos), and who’s really trying to work as part of the team in coming up with better tactics for encounters given the composition we have — much more than someone with ideal gear and an ideal spec (for some ideal role) who is soloing in the group.

From experience, most people who call other people bad are simply compensating for deep-seated feelings of insecurity. They think they’re better than they are, and the feeling of superiority they get from putting other people down helps them deal with their fear of inadequacy.

People who suffer from insecurity can take two different routes. They can either avoid doing stuff, because they’re not good enough, or they can brag about how great they are and blame other people when everything goes to hell.

It’s a sign more of their own inability to take responsibility than any objective sense of who’s good or who’s bad.

Good players will avoid you, thats how. You dont care about playing with friendly people, you just want to say the game sucks.

You have something there – if you are trying to work out how to tell a bad from a good player…

You’re probably not in group B.

Plz refrain from beeing agressive or flaming.

I respect all kind of players. Some are good, some are not. I like playing with both.
