Guild Wars 2

I’m planning on getting someone GW2, and I’m looking at the digital download version and I’m not sure whether the game key I’d receive at that point would be tied to the account I’m posting from now, or whether it’d prompt getting a whole new account, etc.

Does anyone have any experience in this particular matter?
