I am trying to craft an ascended back item, I have crafted the necessary items for the vision crystal (bloodstone bricks, dragonite ingots, augur stone and empyreal stars) , but I can’t figure out what i am supposed to do to craft or obtain this crystal. Can someone please help me? Thank you

It’s an automatic unlock at level 500 for various craftings. Type vision crystal in search in the crafting search if you can’t find it.

You’ll need 20 Spirit Shards to start with. Find the Mystic Forge and go to the vendor (Miyani, sp?). She will sell Augur Stones that cost 20 Spirit Shards.

Upon getting an Augur Stone, you’ll need to refine 5x Bloodstone Dusts, 5x Dragonite Ore, and 5x Empyreal Stars all into bricks. Then assuming you have either 425-450/500 in whichever craft you’re using it should automatically give you the recipe to craft Vision Crystals. (Look in the Crafting Components tab of the craft list window)

Vision Crystal:
1x Augur Stone + 5x of each Bloodstone, Dragonite, Empyreal Star bricks.

i have looked at the link but it doesn’t say how to go about crafting it… that is where I am confused :/ I have tried to craft it at the crafting stations and the mystic forge… I don’t know where I am supposed to do this.

You’re not seeing it at the crafting station because your crafting mastery isn’t 500.

Seems like the OP’s problem is his crafting level isnt at 500 yet.

And not that you asked, but as some advice, if you dont have any crafting levels near 500, id just forget about it (takes like 100g to level them all the way), and make a cheaper ascended back instead. The fractal one and several others (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Back_item) dont require any crafting or vision crystals.

Ascended back items are mostly crafted in the mystic forge.
You can’t see the Vision Crystal recipe because your craft discipline is not at the required level.
Not that it matters because you don’t use them to make back items.

Perhaps he meant Lesser Vision Crystal. That needed for Mawdrey.
