I was under the impression that world bosses had an account bound daily chest and a character bound main chest. But apparently I am wrong and have no idea what is going on.

I did Teq last night on my main at the 5pm spawn after reset. Not a problem, we downed him, I got all 4 bonus chests and the main chest.

Next we all ported over to southsun and killed Kakra queen. Again no problem, got the bonus chest and the main chest.

This morning I decided to do the morning run of Teq on my alt. I was like hey I won’t get the bonus chests, but i’ll still get the main chest. Nope, I got all 4 bonus chests and the main chest again on my alt.

At this point I was like, cool, they must have changed the way world bosses work. So I ported over to southsun to participate in the Kakra queen kill. Everything went well and I killed the Kakra Queen, got event credit, and even looted her corpse for a champ bag and 2 kakra shells… The problem was I didn’t get the bonus chest OR the main chest. I was locked out of both.

So now I realize I have no idea how the world bosses work. Is it different for every one? Do I need to make some sort of chart/spreadsheet? Can anyone explain what the rules for getting the chests are?

I think there was a recent post (like, from the last patch) on these forums about the Ancient Karka Queen no longer rewarding alts.

For most world bosses, your opening line is correct. Daily Account Bonus Chest and Daily Character Boss Chest.

I’m not sure about Teq, I don’t think my server has killed him yet but I know I sure haven’t.
