Guild Wars 2

Dear fellow players.
I have just picked up a rare item “Ravaging Privateer Hat of divinity” which has an idication for “Major rune of Divinity”. I have allready applied one “Major rune of Divinity” and now the status is (1): +5 All stats
There are though 3 other statuses as follow:
(2): +6 All stats / (3): +7 All stats / (4): +8 All stats (see screenshot)
How am i supposed to use these upgrades? I am trying to figure it out but without results. the same question stands for other similar “(2)” / “(3)” statuses on my other items.

Put another rune in another piece of armor

Minor runes have two bonuses; you get the first for slotting one rune and the second for slotting an identical rune in another armor.

Majors have four bonuses, so you need to slot up to 4 of the same rune to get them all; superiors require all six slots to be filled to get all six bonuses.

^ What they said BUT you do not have to worry about gear before lvl80, don’t waste your gold on runes and other stuff, just wear whatever you find! Even cheap green gear from the TP is fine for leveling. Save your gold for lvl80 gear!

Yup, but, personally, I keep a few major runes of divinity around for when I am leveling a new toon.
