Guild Wars 2

Part of what I loved most about GW1 was the socializing. You made parties for missions and had a ton of fun chatting with your group, your guild chat was always active, you could just hang out and talk in LA or Kamadan if you felt so inclined. In GW2 my map chat always seems dead, I have yet to find an active guild and while there is dungeons they are few and far between (at least at mid-level where I am) and it’s just not viable.

What do you guys do/think?

I mainly socialise through my guild – meeting up for regular guild events, doing dungeons or just general PVE together (they do WvW and sPVP too but I don’t) or just chatting.

But also chatting and playing with random people I bump into. If someone happens to be doing the same thing as me/going the same way we’ll help each other out and play together for a bit.

This is exactly how I socialize as well. Maybe we’ve seen each other at one point.

With my 400 member guild, usually about 30-60 people on at a time, and very active chat/partying.

You have to sit in LA to chat, and not play the game.
