Are armor/backpiece/weapon skins that are purchased from the gemstore similar in behavior to achievement skins?

Specifically do you get it once then if you destroy it you can get another the next day?

Unlike GW1’s costumes, Hall of Monument Rewards, and achievement point rewards, there’s no way to obtain these items again once used if they have been removed from the gem store.

Once used, the only way to reapply these skins without purchasing them again is by splitting them from the item and using transmutation stones to apply them again to another item.

If you accidentally delete, salvage, or sell them (remember that items in the Sell panel in vendors appear with the BASE icon instead the SKIN icon ever since before release) then they are lost for good.

You don’t have to use a splitter, you can just do a normal transmute from the current item to the new item when you want to move the skin to a gear upgrade. Or to a white item if transferring to an alt of the same armor weight.
