How do we report hackers (not bots)?
Sounds like [GANK] is an appropriate tag.
I’m pretty sure ANet is against ganking of any sort, though what I am not sure of is where they draw the line between ganking and competitive play. Because if you’re on a JP in WvW, you have to expect that players from opposing servers will attack you. Just because it’s frustrating to the “victim” doesn’t make it reportable. It’s kind of poor sportsmanship to get your jollies from yanking uninvolved players from walls, because you can clearly see they’re just there for the JP – but they’re in the JP in a PvP setting, so they should expect it.
You can try reporting it as ganking, if that’s even one of the offenses, but I’m of the opinion that what you’re describing is really not a reportable offense.
On a slight tangent I agree that the report options are lacking, I mean there’s verbal abuse but unless you take it as abuse of the chat feature there’s a lot of reportable conversations that wouldn’t fall under what most people consider verbal abuse.
Just feel like that whole thing would be more effective if people could put in some text of what was going on (ie like we do on the forums) if nothing else it helps whoever is looking at it to know why the report happened.
No, i’m not reporting for that reason, I’m reporting because of an exploit they were using. I don’t want to give specifics.
How are you qualifying it as an exploit, though?
Is it a skill that is working in a way that it should not be able to – or are they just creatively using a skill within its description’s parameters?
If it’s a bug in the skill, I would suggest bringing up in the bugs forum as well (or sending in a ticket, if you don’t want people to learn about this exploit).
On top of this we need a griefing report option. Like people that afk at collection DEs trying to make them take longer for others.
