Just got the game about 2 days ago, It super fun and im looking to spend a buck or two on the game. How do the weapon skins work ? I know about transmutaion gems but isnt that like a one time use only ?
If i buy those DreamThistle Dagger Skins do i just equip them or do they apply to one weapon only ?

My Main Question is that If i buy the DreamThistle Dagger Skin, Will i be able to see it through the entire time even when i acquire new weapons ?

They are used by applying the skin to a weapon or armour you have. After they are applied you need to use transmutation stones (you will get lots and lots as you play) up until lvl 79, then to put onto lvl 80 gear you need the crystal form (from gems store or the rare daily/map complete). Just make sure you do not delete or break down the item or it will be gone for good.

Im a new player so what you just said confused me by alot, So if i click on a Weapon Skin in my inventory will it apply to my level 1 weapons ? and then when i get new gear can i take them off and re-apply them to it or do i need to buy another set of skins

you do not need to buy another set of skins but you would use transmutation stones to apply the skin of the weapon to a new weapon with better stats.

You will get transmutation stones as you play- for completing a zone, sometimes for dailies and the like.

Because it can get tedious to keep upgrading your look as you level you might want to wait until you are level 80 to just apply the skin to your weapon then

In a sense, yes. I personally would not put it on a lvl 1 weapon.

The rest you are told when you double click the skin.

When you have applied it to a weapon you can use Transmutation Stones to apply it to your next weapon. The old weapon will be destroyed in that process.

So about the transmutation stones
If i put the skin on weapon 1 ( lvl 1 ) and then i played a bit more then got new gear. So if i used the stone on weapon 2 ( lvl 5 ) to combine weapon 1 appearance will it looks like weapon 1 ( skin ) and have the stats of weapon 2 ( lvl 5 and now with skin)

Yes, you need to do that up to lvl 80 though if you always want that skin. Also don’t delete a character that has soulbound items you want to keep. There is a way to account bind an item by transmuting to a white level weapon or armour.

just make sure you pick the right appearance with the revised stats

the skins are applied to one weapon only. i wouldn’t recommend getting one until you have the weapon with the stats you want, unless you don’t have an issue getting transmutation stones too.
