How do you configured your controls?
Turn quickly: Bind the rotate 180 degrees control to your left Shift. It’s unbound by default. Also I bound the ‘look behind you’ control to the mouse wheel click.
Also a multi button mouse seems to be the standard recommendation…I just flail around at my keyboard and 2 button/wheel mouse personally.
I use Q for my heal, E for my elite skill, and Z, X, C for my utilities.
Mouse 4 for dodge, and mouse 5 for weapon swap.
Aside from that, default controls.
Being a lefty with left hand mouse addiction, I feel resigned to moving and clicking on skills and the slowness that causes, especially when I lose track of the mouse cursor in a snowstorm.
I think about remapping, but I am not convinced it would be better, just confusing, and that I would revert back to what i know in desperate situations.
I bought a Nostromo N52 but I found that it was really ergonomically married to left hand pad / right hand mouse.
Maybe if I was 19 I could retrain myself brute force, but at 19*3, not so likely. My right hand just does not have the dex needed to jump all over the keyboard, and it also manages to suck as a mouse hand.

Waiting for Gibson/Shadownrun video game tech myself…
Do you guys turn the camera with the mouse or use camera lock and turn with A and D? Do you use autorun or run with W or pressing both mouse buttons?
Thanks. i wouldn’t like to buy a 10 button mouse. I think that is somewhat like cheating against guys that use normal mouse… but I like the use of Q,E,Z,X,C for the utilities. My biggest complain could be the F1-F4 buttons. Trying to run, cast an utility and then quickly an F1 makes the travel distances of the fingers long and are akward.
1~5 weapon skills, F1~F4, kits.
Shift = heal
6 = util 1
7 = util 2
Z = util 3
X = elite skill
Q = look back
tab = select closest enemy target
middle mouse = next enemy target
E = call enemy target
T = accept ‘called’ enemy target
V = dodge (disabled double tap to dodge)
A/D = strafe left/right (not the default A/D)
Use mouse to look around, right click pretty much held down 99.9% of the time.
Hand position anchor: Pinky on A, ring finger on W. Shift hand position accordingly to press the relevant keys but pinky will always go back to A, and ring finger to W.
e.g. with my hand, very minimal/no stretching required to hit these keys.
-Ring finger to press X (or use index finger to press X), 2, F1
-Middle finger to press F2~F3, 3, E
-pinky to press shift, z, 1
-index to press V, R, T, D, F, 4, 5, 6, 7, F4, X (or use middle finger for X)
-thumb on space bar

I don’t have a mouse with bindable buttons so I stick exclusively to keyboard controls unless I really need to move my cursor/looking around with my camera. Profession and weapon skills, weapon swap, and tab-targeting are all default. Q, W, E are utilities, R is my heal, T my elite. A is nearest enemy, S take target, D call target, then I’ve got my UI window toggles on the bottom row and space for my interact.
Movement keys/UI toggle/screenshot button are all over on the num pad. Overall it’s really good for me being able to hit everything important with ease, and not shifting my hand too much to risk it getting out of place to mash the wrong keys. Ground target it just a little more unwieldy for me (I usually pre-place my cursor and just move around a lot more to reposition it), and sometimes I accidentally smack my screenshot button trying to dodge away.

Sounds good. But how do you target your enemy or use ground targeting?
I’m pretty basic, I think. 12345 are unchanged. WASDQE are also unchanged. what I did do to change stuff…
` – bound to mouse, thumb down
6 – mouse thumb in-middle
7 – mouse thumb in – down
8 – mouse thumb in – up
9 – scroll wheel left
0 – scroll wheel right
c – target nearest enemy
v – stow / draw
x – swim down
z – walk
tab – target next
leftshift – dodge
F5 – toggle town clothes
F8 – WvW menu
F9 – Email menu
the only things I have to reach for are things like g, o, i, m, etc.. or chatting.
Logitech MX-Revolution
[EDIT]: I use regular ground targeting, because it all depends on the profession and skill. when I’m on my engineer, I turn on fast cast ground targeting to follow the mouse. Otherwise its normal.
WASDQE for movement. Mouse for turning. 1-6 are the same, shift 3-5 for utilities. 0 for elite as I usually just click it.
` for weapon swap, F1-4 for any F skills on any profession. V for dodging
