Haven’t been able to figure out how to get out. I’m leveling a toon, only level 4, and I can’t seem to get out of the Mists. The only place it takes me is the main city. How do I get back to the start zone?

Wait what? The main city??? If you are referring to Lions Arch then you are out of the mists. If you want to return to the area you were leveling in then waypoint back to that location or use the portals south of the mystic forge.

If you are referring the the zone in the mists with the vendors then you need to go through the gate

leave the mists to lion’s arch via the portal. in town you will find an area with portals to every town in the game. these portals are located left of the lion fountain in the middle of the city. you will see the purple circles on the map designating portals. take the portal to your race’s home city and walk out the front and you’ll be back in the starter area

I meant to say the only place I can go within the Mists is to Lions Arch, and couldn’t figure out how to get back to the starting zone.

There are a set of portals near the big statue that take you back too all the main cities

Don’t you just click the PvP icon again and click the button to leave the mists?

Or relog in WvW or sPvP. you’ll be where you entered it form the main PvE world.
