Guild Wars 2

Just wondering what is the most common way of playing Gw2. For me, I use the keyboard for attacks and what not and I the mouse to move, dodge and strafe left to right. Works well for me.

I prefer using the mouse to move than the keyboard. using the keyboard for movement wears my fingers down for some reason.

Anyone care to share their playing methods ?

keyboard: wasd keys to move, 1-6 to use abilities, v to dodge
mouse to look around and press keys from 7 to 9 (it’s easier for me than reaching with my fingers) also to switch weapons,

wasd/qe to move/strafe. Number keys for weapon skills. Click for utility/elite skills. Dodge, weapon swap on my extra mouse keys.

Keyboard, W forward / dodge forward, A/D strafe or dodge left right, S back/dodge back. Mouse for turn left right and look up down. Shift for initial combat command/activate the selected auto fire skill. Tab to scroll targets. Left mouse select target. Mouse button 3 by my thumb to fire my selected non-autofire skill, Mouse 4 by the tip of my thumb to use a slot skill I feel bests fits the situation I’m in. I often use the later for setting caltrops or other traps so I can pitch them real fast and then backpedal using the W key without having to take my hand of the movement buttons to press a keyboard key.

Since I literally only play my guardian and sometimes my warrior (still leveling up)

F keyes: Q, F2, F3

ASD for left, right, forward.

12345

7890 = ERTX in that order

6 = G

Mouse double for looking and moving forward.

WASD to move
V to dodge
12345 for skills

hold down right mouse button to look around
left mouse button for every thing else
yes, left click for 67890 skills also.

Using fingers for movement and weapon skills.
Using my Razer naga mouse macro keys for any other functions such as utilities / Elite / F1-F4 skills.

Using madcatz xbox 360 pc controller

Mouse/Keyboard for SUPER SERIOUS TIME (pvp, dungeons that require me to be awake)
SNES Controller for everything else.

WASD → DPad
2 Skills, Heal, Jump → ABXY
Weapon Swap → Select
Pick Up/Interact→ Start
Rotate Camera Left/Right → L/R

Works great for easier content.

I use Nostromo + CM Storm Inferno with this configuration:

Oh, and F1-F4 skills are bound to shift+2-shift+5

It’d be hard to return to classic keyboard & mouse.
