I have two characters parked at mine and whenever I log in to one, everything shows as there but wont let me harvest some of it, like I can only do cabbage and spinach. Then i go to the other character and it will do blackberries, pumpkin, and strawberries or something. It wont let me harvest everything, not on one, not on the other. I only end up getting like half or two thirds of my entire garden. exactly how does this thing work?

Try not parking there. You’re probably hitting harvesting limits, so the easiest way to stop that is by taking the time to actually kill a keeper to go back instead of just logging out there.

I experienced similar behavior throughout the game. There’s a 24h limit on gathering, but if you’re logging in with that character often the reset does not get initiated correctly. To prevent that log in with another char first, do something, then relog.
Very common issue if you park a character at the not so secret jp chest.

waited two days without gathering, took one of the characters, went to LA, did some PVP, came back to the garden by killing a Keeper of Waves, and i still cannot harvest anything

Harvesting
In order to unlock the farm, the collection Kudzu III: Leaf of Kudzu must be completed. Once completed the farm can be harvested once a day on each character. The farm contains 2-3 of the various plants planted in the collection.

Primordial Orchid nodes are separately unlocked by completing A Henge Away from Home collection step – Dierdre’s Orchard.

Idk if this is still an issue but the thread is more than a year old.
