Q:
I have heard many different ways loot drops in this game for players in groups.
1. Does the loot drop differently if you in or out of a squad?
2. Does doing more damage than others give u more drops?
If i can get a moderator to confirm this or if someone can give a link to an article where this is stated it would be much appreciated. I don’t really want people saying what they have tested cause it really doesnt confirm how it loot drops just what their luck is like.
I do however realize that magic find % on your account determines it a bit but im just wondering bout the other stuff.

1.) Loot does not drop differently. The number of drops you’d get used to matter up until around February/March but it changed. Now party/solo does not make a difference.
2.) Doing more damage does not give you more drops. But you need to meet a certain threshold of damage to be considered for loot. Once you are credited for loot, it doesn’t matter if you keep dps’ing or not.
MF does not determine your drop rate in general. In fact, we don’t know much about MF in general and how it rolls, or whether it only works on rares/exotics or blues/greens as well.
But from my personal experience, with over +1000h farming since release, MF gear at the minimum helps increase your rare/exotic drops.
Step 1:You place your hands on the mouse
Step2 :You look hardly on the screen and target your enemy until your eye wince.
Step3 :Lick your lips and move your mouse cursor to point on the enemy
Step4 :You click on your mouse to attack
Step5: Keep on clicking and attacking until the freakishly long health bar depletes
Step6: Loot drops from monster
That is how drops work my friend
