Guild Wars 2

I have some friends that entered to a european server by mistake, and they can’t afford for a server change to NA. I’ve been playing for like… two weeks now with them by just being in party and chat. I can see them in the map, I can trade with them, and I got the dungeon message if I wanted to enter but… it’s just that.

My question is, How do megaservers work? I mean, I can’t play with them, neither in world map nor dungeons, can I? But if my question’s anwser is a yes, Why can I do the other things I mentioned before?

You, or your friends (if not Play4Free users) can delete all characters and transfer at no cost.

I believe dungeons are cross-region, as is mail.

A couple of points

1) there are 2 data centers where account information is kept. One is in Texas and one is in Germany. Because the accounts are stored in 2 places, they aren’t on the same computer maps and can’t get together.
2) any paid account can transfer for free (every 7 days to a non full server) if they are willing to delete all their chars (storing items they want to keep in their banks).

There are certain things that are cross-region as you mentioned (chat, party, mail, dungeon popup, guild…)

But playing together are region-locked.
