Guild Wars 2

Hello All,

I’m currently playing guild wars 2 and I’m having a blast, but was wondering, how is this game doing 5 months after launch? As of right now the areas I’m in (Level 21) are not all that populated, which makes me a little bit worried. Is the absence of players in these zones due to most people being max level (in different areas) or is it due to a declining player base? Thanks so much for any info you can provide.

Also, I know the servers say High-Full but read an article or post that said the server pop doesn’t represent how many people are currently playing on those servers, just the number of people who have chosen that server as their home. Can anyone shed anymore light on this?

Dont worry, most of the players are doing dungeons, at orr, or WvWvW.

Try joining a guild if you want to socialize.

If you want to judge the amount of players, use the asura gate in your city to go to Lions Arch. Its almost always full.

The game is alive and kicking at lvl 80 As you may imagine for a game without a steep levelling curve, the lower zones are a bit less populated. You will run into players though and if you use map chat you will get groups for group events pretty much everywhere. Good luck.

This is a great way to find out which servers are complete empty and which ones actually have people playing on it.

The one at the bottom is completely dead. About 2/3s of the servers are emptying or dieing when you get to Tarnished Coast on up are the servers that are really still kicking. Don’t play on anything below that or you’ll eventually quit from playing Ghost Town 2.

I hear European servers don’t suffer this same problem.

Thats not actualy true just because some servers have a low WvW tern out dosnt mean there pve isnt doing so well

Quite the opposite in fact. Have you tried transferring servers lately? Most of the NA ones are almost always full. It is the EU servers that suffer from Medium/High status. I’m on Yak’s Bend, currently a tier below TC, and I can tell you my server is packed on the PvE side. At least in the endgame areas and LA.
