Hi,

I’ve been wondering for some time now when the mobile app is going to get released.
I found this article I read before the launch telling us that it would be soon after the launch.

Could ArenaNet give us a better specification that just “soon”? I feel like soon should be within 3 months after the launch, but I’m not sure what ArenaNet’s thoughts about soon is.
Please don’t tell us you know “ArenaTime”(hint to ValveTime, google it).

I’m sure they will revise their answer from “soon” to “when it’s done.” Does that help?

It was announced some time ago that rather than just release an all in one app they were instead (or also?) going to release an API that would allow people to create applications on different platforms.

Whenever that is ready you are bound to see a whole range of neat stuff coming along from them and the community.

This starts to scream security issues. I’d be more comfortable if Arena Net alone released a robust Mobile App that they fully support rather than rely on the community. Not that I’m trying to knock the community as I’ve seem some great stuff come from them. However on the dark side of things, there are reliability, support and timeliness issues that come along with that..

They’ll have the app as soon as they:

Fix DR, MF, Loot drops
Fix the laundry list of bugs per class
Take the engineer profession out of it’s beta stage
Add new permanent meta events to the world
Add ascended armor to the temples in Orr
Fix FotM once and for all
