I’m on a mesmer btw. I do not want to craft.

personal story, mapping, follow events when mapping, use boosters

So…how long? Assuming I play for around 11 hours a day.

Wow, spending that much time, it definitely shouldn’t take you more than 3 days if you focus solely on leveling.

Same time it took you to level from 20 to 50.

If you want the fastest way to level up, power through zones at your level, fighting mobs your level (or a tad bit higher). Never get downleveled and try to kill when doing Hearts instead of just interacting with objects.

If you’re too underleveled through this method, go back and finish map completing zones (specifically zones near your level) to get large boosts of experience.

mesmer its the hardest level character in all 8 class..

suggest you mesmer lvling better using staff, & sword+ focus

Mutili target killing… great sword is not really good for lvling

That’s not entirely true. If you’re playing something like a Ranger or a Necromancer, you can sit in the middle of your zerg in EB and just drop your ranged stuff at enemies. Easy levels and pretty fast, but it’s boring as all…

Mesmers are a very, very weak profession. They have very little going for them.

Then, you have Mesmer traits. These things will make or break your profession. With just traits, you can turn a terrible build into an amazing build. However, while leveling up, you don’t have access to [most] traits. This not only makes your builds weak, but they’re not even close to their full potential.

The main problem is that most of your key traits are Master/Grandmaster and the Minor ones that are good are also lumped with other good Minors, which means you can’t get all of the good stuff until you have all of the [excess] trait points.

There are a few lulzy cheat methods of leveling in PvE, such as rolling an Asura Mesmer, then running Greatsword + Staff. Start with Staff, drop your Stakitten + Radiation Field, then switch to Greatsword, use Greatsword 4 + 2 + 5 + 3. Suddenly 5 mobs are dead. (Of course this has a 60 second cooldown for the entire combo, hue.)

In reality, it’s not very efficient, but when you add in moving from one large pack of mobs to another, it’s pretty good. There are still faster methods, though… much… faster methods.

as i recommend you better add traits skill on “illusion” by using “Illusionary Elasticity”
and using staff..
and better using " Dueling" -" Deceptive Evasion" this make big different for lvling.. using illusion to product yourself.

but still mesmer by fighting mutil-target its hard. single target is the best..

Buy cheeseburgers, that’s an easy 10% xp boost.

To optimize mob xp, go to:
- level appropriate zones. XP is based on the intended level
- unpopular zones/servers. Many mobs give 200 XP and over 600 bonus XP

And do your hearts.

For free XP, explore the main cities. If you’re bored, this will give quite the boost.

Furthermore, even if you don’t like crafting, consider cooking. Crafting 400 levels cooking costs about 1.5g and nets you 10 levels in 10 minutes.

I have cooking at 400 already, same with armor smith, and jewls

and that artisan one is at 400

Rule of thumb, if you simply work on world completion and personal story, expect a level an hour, give or take.

The amount of experience points is not the same from 20-50 as it is from 50-80.

You can level up fast in wvw by sticking to zergs, around 3 levels a hour if your zerging hard.

he’s a mesmar, one of the slowest/worst solo classes in the game.

should take another 30hours maybe.

about as long as leveling from 1 to 2.

A week in WvW, playing 2 hours a day…

You can play 11 hours a day? Well in a zerg in WvW 1.5 days at the most.

You could get a 2nd character to lvl 80 as well in a week and have all 8 character classes level 80 in 7 weeks…

Only give 7 levels now because ascended crafting was introduced, so would be 74th level.

Leveling by crafting is not so good now really…

Honestly, Im a mesmer to, and there was this one day where i just focused on proffessions, so like that i wouldn’t need to level them up in the future that it got me a tons of levels :P! I was really surprised. i highly recommend you to craft (:! You’ll also make money in the future, so yeah (; I do Tailoring and Artificer

Mesmer was kind of hard to level at low level. By the time you hit 50, it should be much easier now. But yeah, expect 1 level an hour. Do world events. Complete all dailies. Join WvW at the right time will help a lot as well. Like, joining zergs to flip SM. Just don’t stand at the frontline.
