Guild Wars 2

So I’m trying to move a character from my alt account to my main account. I deleted the version from the alt account about ten minutes ago, and when I try to re-make her on my main account it’s still telling me the name is in use. Any idea how long it usually takes for that to expire?

I think it is 24 hours- not sure where I read it but if you delete a character the name is still available to you. I have used this many times to make new incarnations of chars

Well, crap… guess I’ll just have to screenshot where all the sliders are so I can get this look perfect again tomorrow. Thanks!

As morrigan said, he is correct.

I reused one of my character names after about 10 or 15 minutes. It never failed on me. That is how long I spent on the character creation screens.

Quint, the name is reusable on the same account immediately. The 24-hour wait is for use on a different account (as is what the OP wants to do).
