So this question has been asked before but with the increase in the number of possible character slots, I am curious to learn whether anyone actually has 69 characters now. I am also assuming that with the passage of time, people may have created more alts so I anticipate some changes from last time this got asked.

Bonus question: What is your main?

Personally, I have 10 characters – one of each profession and one mule (a retired character that I just couldn’t bring myself to delete). My current main is a guardian.

While I do have 4 chars, I tend to only play with one as I am that kind of player. I really enjoy playing my guardian and it is pretty much the only active char that I am using.

2 mains and 2 mules/bag openers that I tell myself I’ll play seriously some day. But I won’t. So… two.

nine when I’m doing a weekly key farm. Five of them are level 80, all different classes. When I’m done leveling the others I’ll probably buy a slot to make a rev with. I don’t really bother making duplicate classes.

I have 16, 3 I’m leveling. My main is a guardian/dragon hunter.

7 proper characters (that is, characters I actually level up and play beyond just grabbing home instance stuff or whatever with them). Ranger, Mesmer, Ele, Engi, Necro, Guardian, Revenant.

Don’t have a main. I try to play all of them equally. Though my Ranger has the largest percentage of world completion and is typically the first character I use for new content, so I suppose if I have a main then that would be it.

It takes information from people’s accounts using API keys, and puts them on leaderboards (anonymously of course). There’s no way of faking this information. The only limitation this site has is that it only shows information of people who choose to use it (rather than the entire GW2 population/active GW2 population) and is probably more likely to be used by the more “hardcore” player who has interests in GW2 outside of the game client.

However, there are thousands of users and there is one guy with 69 characters and two with 68.

Possibly a boring answer (which doesn’t propel this thread very far), but it’s the best answer you’re going to get. I doubt that there are many people who have 69 characters overall so you’ll be lucky to find him or her on the forums

EDIT: I have 20 characters btw. 14 are 80, currently. Plan on getting another slot for another revenant after I’ve finished levelling her.

Yes, people do have more than 69. There is one player who posted here who had – I think it was 125 – a lot anyway.

I have 2 accounts. 16 on my main account of which 15 are L80 and the baby revenant is now L60. I also have a spare character slot which may get used when time dulls the horror of doing that bunny food heart again.

My other account has three L80s and a L3 (I think) Asura which will probably get deleted.

11 characters, all level 80, 10 have world completion, trying to muster up the motivation to finish the 11th.

Oh, and 4 level 35s on an alt account for silver doubloon farming, but they hardly count.

Don’t laugh please. I currently have eighteen level 80 characters, and will be adding another one soon (human revenant after the latest sylvari rev), and yes I will be getting the new specializations for each one of them. -.-

The thief, ranger, mesmer, warrior, and revenant are all male charr, the guardian is a female human, the engineer is a male asura, the necromancer is a male norn, and the elementalist is a female sylvari. The thief, ranger, mesmer, warrior, and elementalist all have their full elite specs unlocked, so they’re all level 80. The engineer is level 26, the necromancer is level 20, the revenant is level 23, and the guardian is level 50.

10. All 80s. I had one of each class, then decided I wanted another Revenant, an Asuran.

My EU account has 17. Needs another Revenant.

My NA account has 16. Missing engi and revenant.

And my free account is maxed at two.

7. I don’t have any plans to get more, except maybe an extra spot for key farms/chest farming.

I only created one from launch(thanks Anet for electro blue dye) and after leveling by hearts/maps, I thought to myself " I’m never gonna level another character again, 1 was hard enough."

Time passes, tomes of knowledge and birthday tomes show up. Next thing you know I have 9 characters, 6 80’s, 3 mules. Mainly I play Ele,Guardian, Warrior(used to be main), ranger, sometimes thief. Mesmer is retired. I’m glad I have different classes to play though.

3 level 80s and a level 35 crafter from two years ago (I deleted 1 level 80 and a level 3x crafter along with a couple of lowbies which I had no desire to play again).

A new set of 7 Asura working their way through Metrica ATM; only classes not playing now are Warrior and Revenant, I see nothing in the Rev. that’s appealing.

I have 21 filled character slots.

I currently spend most in-game time standing at the TP on the Havok’s Heir Airship on my TP character. Other than that, I am occasionally out adventuring on my new elementalist I fashioned and also trying (and failing) to bring myself to spend some time in Dry Top to get the last few geodes that I need to finish making Cryptopidae.

Why have so many duplicated characters?

10, 1 of each class + 1 duplicate elem which is also my first char.

As many as 14, now I have 4. Might delete 3 of them.

13 if I recall correctly. Still need a light and medium armor Asura.

Currently 8, will be buying 2 more soon, one for Revenant, another for a 2nd ranger (my main Charr Ranger isn’t keen on the idea of Druid/magic).

Of those, I think 10 are 80.

I’m a huge altoholic, I love different characters. I RP in other games and have dabbled a bit here, but not so much. Despite that, I still like creating characters according to a concept that isn’t just about class or race. I like thinking of backstories that influence choices they make, their choice of clothing and weapons etc.

Currently I have 9 and, yes, all of them get played and are 80s. My plan was to have 15 eventually but with the problems in getting the new specs I may just keep my money instead.

11, necro and engi duplicate (be cause asura are so cool with them).

Currently maining Revenant/Herald though I really can’t say main since I recently played with Reaper and Druid a lot. It changes constantly.

8 lvl 80 chars, one from every profession, 1 lvl 20 for mule purposes, and soon a Rev.

The main is a Female Asura Engie with a FT.

The plan was to have 1 lvl 80 for every proffesion, 2 (male/female) for every race except norn (Dont like very much norn males), but in the end the human necro was too boring compared to the amazing asura reaper I make for the betas, so he got demoted to mule status, leaving me with 3 asuras. Rev is going to be a female human, though.

I tend to focus on my characters one at a time so once I feel like I’ve “completed” what I want on the Ele (zone exploration and story) then I’ll move on to one of the others and “complete” that one.

(Temp slots change a lot, some characters only last a few minutes, although others can last a few months.)

At some point after character slots next go on sale I’m planning to increase that to 9 permanent (1 of each profession) and at least 1 temporary slot. Although it will be a very long time before those are all level 80, unless I give up and use tomes to level them.

I have 11 characters, all level 80. One of each profession plus an extra ranger and necromancer. 8 of my 11 have map completion and the other three are working on it. I have some professions doubled up because I don’t like carrying extra gear sets. I also don’t like sharing things among my characters so they’re all in the process of getting their own set of ascended gear and infinite gathering tools (but several of them are complete!).

My main is probably my first ranger, but I play ALL of my characters nearly everytime I play. I don’t roleplay, but each of my characters has a little backstory that I try to portray with the skins and minis they use. Most of my characters were either leveled with tomes or crafting. Leveling is my least favorite part of the game, but I love exploring and gearing up my characters.

In short.. a lot.

I got a human Herald and a level 30 something human Guardian that I’m feeding tomes until he’s 80.

Then I have my Mesmer, ranger, warrior, engineer, and ele that are mostly around level 11, with the engi being 60ish.

All 80 except my Thief who is 54 and slowly growing with tomes.

Trying to stick with just 3, cuz one for each order. But at the moment I have 5. 3 Humans and 2 Norn all lovely ladies. I got a necro lvl 48, thief lvl 45, engineer lvl 22, guardian lvl 45 and elementalist lvl 22. I would say my necro is probably my main. I am thinking about cutting out 2 of them but don’t know which

On my main account 30, which includes 10 level 80s and 1 level 2 mule as I have too much junk to store in the bank and don’t like to throw things out, just in case i need them later.

On my secondary account, 8, one for each class, Ironman variation so each is played until death, I also want to try and get world completion on them. That account isn’t upgraded to HoT and may never be.

On my tertiary account, 2, it’s a free account started to make sure that the SMS thing worked on a normal phone line and is kept running to see just what I can get on a F2P account, a legendary is the ultimate objective.

As you may guess, plenty of characters but no gold, it all goes on character slots and gem items.

How many? All 69! All level 80.
