Eta anyone? I’m dying with anticipation

No one knows. Sometime before 2pm Pacific tomorrow.

Since ANet is on the west coast of the US then it will be sometime from 9am PDT to 5pm PDT time. Usually it is earlier at around 9am thou. Sometimes it does not drop till 11am thou. I have seen the updates drop as late as 3pm or 4pm in GW1

Just out of curiosity, what are you anticipating so much? Because, I gotta be honest, I haven’t seen or heard of anything coming that sounds exciting.

In ten minutes from this post it will be 7 pm pacific time.

7 + 5 = 12. So it is now 5 hours to midnight.

Midnight to noon is 12 more hours. So 17 hours to noon tomorrow.

Add 2 to get to 2 pm and you get 19 hours from the top of this hour.

edit: The patch should be sometime before that because they are doing the AMA at 2 pm Pacific “after the release is live.”

Oh, okay. lol I never understood the whole “celebrate” thing. Seems over-the-top. But hey, if you wanna ride the hype train, I say grab the throttle and have a good time.

Thank you! I have a timezone app on my ipads but…work phone. Since the patches happen while I’m asleep my excitement level is on a low boil anyway.

I think she used that term because the blog uses it. Rein in your hype. They don’t want us to know anything in advance because they want us “delighted.” They seem to be relying on keeping expectations nonexistent so anything we get seems major in comparison to the nothing we had.

If it turns out to be way awesome cool mindblowing stuff, I’ll be very happy, happy in the way I was when I first did Omadd’s Machine without any spoilers. If it turns out to be not much of a much for any area of the game, I’ll continue my slide into disillusionment. I’m not betting either way. I’ll find out inside of 19 hours, many of which I will be sleeping through

The Gem shop also gives a prety good indication of the timeing. Festival items that go away with the festival tend to be pulled off at the same time the festival content goes away. Since were expecting the patch to coincide with the festivals conclusion that should give you a prety good guess by just looking at the timer for the SAB glider and mini’s.

What really tickles me is that they’re reverting WvW changes and people are praising all over the place :P Revert any more and mo’ll be quarter-expansion-mike.

Of course, the reason we’re glad they’re reverting is because a lot of us hated most everything they added and/or changed. You have to admit that it’s pretty bad when you give people new content and it’s so bad they’re begging for you to give them the old again.

But they could have avoided this.
