Guild Wars 2

I have 6 toons at this point, and I think I’ve tried everything except charr, but I keep coming back to humans. 4 of my 6 are currently human. Originally my mesmer was asuran…I felt it fit. However, I really couldn’t find any armor that I felt fit for a mesmer, and ended up rerolling her as a human. I have 1 Norn, and 1 Sylvari. Still up in the air on the Sylvari…they need a few more face/hair options.

Still, eventually I’ll have at least 1 of each profession as a human. And then at least 1 additional of the professions I like in other races, just to experience their storylines. Yes, I plan on playing for a long, long while…

2 Humans, 1 Charr, 1 Norn, 1 Asura. No Sylvari as they just don’t appeal to me at all.

Humans are my favorite race, and additionally they look the best in the widest array of armor. I enjoy Charr as well, but they can have a lot of clipping and stretching issues with armor. Norn and Asura I don’t find particularly appealing as a race but I enjoyed portions of their personal storylines.

I’d probably have more humans if I wouldn’t have to repeat personal storyline quests with them – I prefer how they look and enjoy their history and lore the most. But I also wanted to experience other storylines, so I have a more diverse cast than I normally would.

One of each class, and 3 of them are human. Human’s just “look” better imo.

3 humans and 1 sylvari. My humans look mostly the same… I’m creative.

I have 5 permanent characters, one from each race. I’m not sure I really have a favourite.

But if you prefer one over the other there’s no reason not to stick with it. In GW1 I have 4 rangers because it’s my favourite class (and because they all serve different purposes).

As long as you’re doing what you actually want and not boxing yourself in – either making a character you don’t enjoy because you feel like you have to play another race or missing out on one you want to try because you feel like you’ve picked a favourite and have to stick with it – then there’s really no right or wrong way to do it.

I only have one Sylvari even though they are my favorite. Mostly because if I make another one it will look pretty similar to my main and I didn’t want that so I opted to not make another Sylvari so she stays unique to me.

Managed to have two high level human alts though and now they have maxed professions so I can’t delete one of them. Initially I was going one of everything for story and achievements, but yeah.

Seven humans, one asura. I created – and deleted – at least one of every other race before settling on my current lineup. The furthest I got with any other race was a sylvari engineer that was in the upper 30s when, due to certain events in the personal story that didn’t sit well with me, I decided I’d had enough of the sylvari. Don’t be fooled, friends and neighbors: sylvari are eeeeeevil. Eeeeeevil.

I’m trying to get chars of different races. My first char was a sylvari guardian, then a norn mesmer and now slowly leveling up a charr engineer, and on the bench I have an asura warrior that’s working as a banking mule for the time being until he’s put into service..

Still haven’t decided whether I’ll make a human, and if I do, what profession he’ll be.

6 of my 8 characters are human. The other 2 are sylvari.

Darius Techedge – Engineer, Iron Legion with Reeva

2 Sylvari, 2 Norn, 2 Human, 1 Asura

4 norn, 3 human. I like the looks of the norn best. I have tried all the other races, but I keep coming back to norn. I have 3 level 80 norn, 1 level 80 human. My other 2 humans are level 2.
