How much benefit will GW 2 get from DX12 ?
It could be significant, but that’s assuming they even use it. If it’s exclusive to Windows 10, it might be a while yet before it’s even worth taking the time to implement it. Unless it’s easier than I’m thinking.
GW2 is built on older DX version (9 or 10). The fact that MS will release a newer version wont affect this game at all.
Probably the same amount of benefit we got with DX 11.

Its like having old house built using bricks “A”. And while newer bricks “B” provide better qualities, like temperature and noise isolation, better longetivity, the fact that manufacturer XY started to make them wont make your house suddenly better.

Gw2 runs on dx9. GW2 runs on a heavily modified gw1 engine.

On top of the fact rebuilding your house from the ground up using brick B would cost far more than the benefit brick B gives compared to better windows and insulation.
Basically, they could come out with DX9001 tomorrow, with 10000000000000% improvement to performance, and it wouldnt matter a single bit. If gw2 was a subscription model, then perhaps you could expect it to update the engine regularly.
None, because they won’t use it. They don’t even have dx11, what makes you think they’ll have dx12, a brand new version meant only for Windows 10 users?
